• I cannot understand why these can’t be in the main series? Like maybe in one of the epilogues?
  Did it not fit or what.. why??
  All were high quality filmed, beautiful angles and gosh beautiful kisses - like why? There isn’t any logical reason for this!!!

  • I have to ask this because it has bothered me even while the show was airing. Will the directors be so unaware while filming whether these will fit into the episodes or not? I can understand writer writing it.. but ultimately it’s the directors choice to leave it out right? If even one of the kisses didn’t find a place in the episodes then how professional is it to make the actors do not 2 or 3 but sooo many kiss scenes when they were not required for the show at all? Did they always intend to just use it for bts and instigating shippers for the sake of ratings??

    • Probably just to instigate fans and fuel more shippers’ hopes that there may be a slight chance they’re dating in real life. They know what fans want to see. When this promo is all over, shippers hearts will be broken

    • I don’t think it’s usual to instigate shippers this way.
      I mean most drama have limited kiss scenes or just very “you know it’s acting” light kisses - obviously you have 2 very willing actors here who did those scenes whole heartedly - I think the only reason is it’s simply really less is more for the montage but it’s still puzzling - I’m ok with the montage but why not in one of the epilogues which would have fitted even if outside the story flow.
      Those kisses would have been classic and putting the real strawberry on the cake for such a beautifully filmed series … really strange. I’m not a shipper but it does make me think like why? Was it too good? Too real? So that the focus won’t be on the kisses and the drama or to give them some space or what?! I can’t help but feel robbed as it belongs to the drama lol

    • Hmm this is a very interesting take. If they meant to use it for instigation, why release it after everything is over? Also KSH & KJW dont look like people who would agree to indulge in such tactics considering they did the bare minimum fan service through out its run.

But they have used it before in bts videos to tease shippers.. even though hardly anything except the super speed montage was shown in episode 1 they had previously released a long bts video on the Germany honeymoon shooting which greatly increased the shipping fever.

  • It was shown in Episode 1 very quickly at the beginning. I think those scenes didn’t have dialogues as it was filmed as a montage of their honeymoon. Still they could’ve broadcasted this version instead of the blink and you’ll miss it version.

• Does this mean if this drama never got good ratings, all this will never be disclosed in detail ? By the way, the special is not the end. There will be blue ray commentaries and the two leads will be back

• For all the angst it felt like we were robbed off romance. Wth is the and what's the point of this now. What a mess, so much focus on the bloody villians.

  Anyway theyre such good actors the fact that they filmed all these emotional scenes and these honeymoon ones, wow.

  • And this is episode 1. They barely know each other at that time and they already got into these right away and filmed. Kudos to how professional they are. now I fantasize if they can date in real life. I know it won’t Happen but I had a wonderful time watching them onscreen and offscreen. Please tell me down the road a year or two later they are still good friends

    • Zoe, they don't have to film in a linear way. I mean they may have started filming with a scene in episode 10, going to a scene in episode 7, then a scene in episode 16... Unless it was one of the shows that they film as they broadcast, but I don't think Netflix is up for this sort of proceeding.

  • Yh as @nena said they filmed so many scenes like the church scene in germany within a space of a month.
    Love them onscreen but offscreen they give off more formal.

    • How does KJW behave with her former costars offscreen? I watched both KSH and KJW previous works but rarely pay attention to bts until QOT. lol. Maybe I should not pay attention to bts in the future. That way, I dont jump onto any ship. I already start to feel this ship will sink like Titanic soon.

      Just a personal opinion, I always find KJW classy and elegant and i dont think she will spill her personal life to the public. She reminds me a bit of Kim Tae Hee.

      Jiwon is quite reserved but tends to be bubbly in bts shes usually good at matching her costars energy but she's not the type to take lead. At the same time she's very professional and never does fan service. Also there's no proof she's dating JCW lol. If you have a spare 10 mins watch her Netflix interview with the my liberation notes cast, it's a fun watch, you get to see her playful side there.

    • i like her pairing with JCW too but I agree, I dont think they are dating. If I remember correctly, KJW has recorded one clip before for Park Seo Joon's fan meeting to show her support as a co-star during Fight My Way era. It will be fun if she does something similar at KSH's fan meeting or vice versa to support each other as former costars.

      I will watch the libernation notes bts some time. That could be a nice way to help me break my Kim kim ship and come back to reality. haha. So sounds like maybe KSH is the only one she is more formal with. I wonder why lol

      I was surprised when he recorded that fan meeting for psj, nice to know they're still friends after 4 years. She recorded one for SJK too but their friendship is not surprising. The thing with jiwon is that even as a long term fan I have no idea who her celeb friends are, just know of younha that's how private she is.
      For her interaction with ksh I'm only going off press interviews I haven't watched bts. This role does seem intense though compared with her other roles with having to shoot for a year and be in a diet.

    • @alyza, Press conference interactions are probably more realistic since bts interactions can be related to script rehearsal. I picked that up from her too that she seems formal and politely nodding her head when he offered his hand to take her onstage at the press.
      I think lovers won’t act that formal, right ?

• It was one of the issues of the drama. The characters showed they were in love and attracted by each other, they were married but the writer made their skinships like teenagers even if they were living together.

  The only real kiss scene we got in the present was in the episode 5, then nothing else. The montage in Germany was too short and teased us for nothing.

  It's sad because the actors proved they had chemistry and were good for this kind of scenes.

• The scenes are most likely going to be released via Blu ray and the special was a preview of that. The leads are already confirmed to be doing commentary so it makes sense for tvN to milk it more really.

  I loved the honeymoon but glad blu takes a long time to release. The shippers are driving sane people crazy. Just too annoying, loud and obnoxious. Usually I am so used to this type of thing seriously. But this drama has too many rabid shipper. I cannot even converse on sns without someone implying something. I cannot go to a tvN post, or even GoMel post for KSH without seeing KJW’s face plastered. I think its the same for KJW related post too. Getting on my last nerve now. I liked the leads together but bluntly, I hope they never work together again. This is too tiring and ridiculous really. If they are interested in each other once they are ready we will know. For now, I would prefer to just leave them alone and ship Hyunwoo and Haein only. But in a crazy way, I am comforted that its now over haha

    Imo, re-pairing a popular couple is never a good idea unless it was movie before drama (KSH-JJH, HB-SYJ). I have a long list of who I want to see him paired with next and surely her fans also have their own. In terms of real life, never cared, never will.

    • Can’t deny the shippers also helped with the success of the drama. But I get it. Every show will have shippers and consider how popular this one became and how the media is constantly teasing fans and releasing these bts in bits and pieces, it’s hard not to drive shippers crazy. I got a bit excited and my heart fluttered too. I’m sorry you have to bear with crazy shippers. But, give us some time and hopefully we will walk out of it. I know I will as time passes. I try not to be delusional because all this is just a marketing tactic. I constantly remind myself they are just good actors. Don’t take anything offscreen because it’s all just a show. As much as I like them, I highly doubt they will pair up again. There will be shippers again on their next next drama. It’s a never ending cycle until they are romantically linked in real life. Please bear with us a little longer and this will all die down at some point.

    • What is there to ship, I've never seen shippers this deranged before. KSH looks awkward around her and is not his usual goofy self and before anyone accuses me of being a hyunji shipper I've liked him with JJH and IU too. This is his first pairing I don't like and apparently that's so controversial.

I am an actor fan first, couple not at all. So I’d like to see KSH pair up with other amazing actresses. At the same time, I am okay with shippers as long as it is contained and not overbearing. Like you, I hope it dies down after a few months max.

  • Imagine me. I'm a shipper myself, shipped them since first news about drama, and even I'm uncomfortable with these shippers. They're really crazy obsessed and don't know about personal space at all. And, of course, none of them cares that Ksh and Kjw might be uncomfortable by their craziness.
    The only hope is that after month or two they will smoothly move on to another pairing or drama.

    • Me too! I love KSH and KJW together and like how sweet and genuinely affectionate they are to each other in real life and gets along well.

      But my only thing is, now I am starting to feel very uncomfortable on behalf of the actors really. They are being demanded by deranged shippers to essentially become the character they played. KSH admitted recently that he felt when he was younger that he needed to hide himself. I think I am understanding that comment better now. Seriously thankful he looks like he is more mature now to handle this.

      KSH/KJW are not alone I am sure other actors have the same situation too but maybe because this drama has become too big, it feels like the pot is overflowing now and infecting things. I feel so sorry to both these actors. They deserve more privacy and respect really. And I want to add Sung Hoon too. He should not be apologizing for what Eunseong does. But he is because he gets dms full of hate. Why are people like this? Why do some people treat actors this way? They are humans seriously! It gets me worked up.

• @doe, I haven’t followed hyunji shippers but I heard and read on this blog they’re deranged too. Ksh isn’t dating kjw and syj so I hope you can sleep well. I like both kjw and syj and I hope they both find a nice suitor outside the showbiz.

• Really one of the best couples, from visual,acting, chemistry they have everything. Queen of tears was hella rollercoaster emotional experience and i will miss them so much. what happens in real life is non of our business. I never shipped anyone and never will. like show ands and after week, max month i move on easily. Frankly i never understand why people are so pressed about shippers, like mute them, don't give attention. Popular romance drama will always have shippers and abnormal ones too until one of them are in relationship (even then lame jokes are coming) or married. New drama=new shippers. Whatever i will patiently wait new Ksh romance drama please.

• tvN shooting itself on the foot with this one. But they should be happy regardless. They have not reached 20% since 2020 and only once before that.

• Where have I made it obvious I'm a hyunji shipper. As a ksh fan I follow all his bts, it's a fact he was very comfortable with syj maybe cause they were same agency. Just because I noticed the closeness between them it means I want them to date lol such utter nonsense.

• Let’s be real. Falling in love on set doesn’t happen all the time. If it does, we will see a lot of couples by now. They’re actors and know how to distinguish their acting and real feelings. Just because we have hyun bin and son ye Jin as a predecessor power couple does not mean another real life couple will be born from another hit. Won’t be surprised if kim soo hyun is secretly dating someone or kim ji won already has a bf in real life who we don’t know. Maybe they’re dating a non celebrity so we will not have a clue.

  I was a shipper before and I learn not to invest too much in couples off screen because I have seen many onscreen couples I love are not even friends in reality. I was crushed and sad by that. But, If my favorite couple are friends, that can be a blessing too because some friends may last longer than couples.

  I don’t know if you all believe in destiny. If kim soo hyun and kim Ji won are meant to be, love will bring them together somehow. If they are not meant to be, just cherish the memories from this drama. Same goes to Ksh with his former costars
