Buzzy Supporting C-actress Zheng Hehuizi Drops by Xianxia C-drama Xian Yu with Chen Fei Yu in Substantive Guest Starring Role
C-actress Zheng Hehuizi is undoubtedly the biggest winner of the unexpected hit that is C-drama In Blossom. She has benefitted the most and did so with a two episode guest starring role and she parlayed that into another guest starring role that may have the same effect. She’s cameo-ing in xianxia C-drama Xian Yu (Offering Salted Fish to Master) starring Chen Fei Yu and Wang Ying Lu and by all accounts that drama has the makings of a shitshow. The male lead role has reportedly very little screen time vis-a-vis being the male lead and female lead Wang Ying Lu hasn’t shown she can carry a drama and was also filming ANOTHER DRAMA at the same time as this one as also the female lead. Every time I read about the hot mess from that set I lol, but at least there is mega adorable Zheng Hehuizi looking really cute in her styling for this drama to look forward to. Her guest starring role also reportedly has more screen time than the second female lead and once again this production is just taking WTF to new levels.

Female lead Wang Yinglu has a buzzy role in I Am Nobody. She's not a total nugu.
Second female lead Wang Yiting was accused of adding lots of extra scenes in Dilraba and Gong Jun's Legend of Anle. It is said this time her chracter is newly added (aka not from the novel) and that she has a seperate love line with the second male lead.
If Zheng He Huizi has even more scenes than the second female lead (which I doubt is true), then this drama will be a hot mess with lots of uneven screen time. Will CFY's team really let this happen or did his scandal affect him?

As much as I enjoyed Zheng Hehuizi's short-lived appearance in 'In Blossom' (the ending where there wasn't another face swap disappointed me greatly), I'm going to have to wholly disagree with your comment about Wang Ying Lu yet to carry a drama.
Wang Ying Lu was so awesome in "I Am Nobody"! Her "Feng Bao Bao" and Huo Ming Hao's "Wang Ye" were undoubtedly the hit of the show (with Peng Peng not far off)! I am Nobody was the dark horse of 2023 for me.
