C- actress Li Yi Tong Mocked for Receding Hairline in Preview for New Thriller Police Drama Tell No One

In this day and age it’s photo shopped up the wazoo for anyone who has access to a smart phone but definitely for celebs and that’s okay. There is a certain expectation they want to look their best and we accept that the star is being brushed up even more. So it is a bit of a surprise to see a polished product with a realistic moment – case in point the preview for police thriller C-drama Tell No One. The drama isn’t super buzzy and premiered this week on May 8th. In the preview, there is a moment where female lead Li Yi Tong is riding behind the male lead in a motorcycle and the wind blows her hair back showing a very very high hairline. She’s getting mocked by C-netizens for going bald early and hiding her receding hairline in previous dramas and promos. I don’t know if she’s going bald or simply was born with a very high hairline but goodness C-netizens can be so unrelenting when it comes to nitpicking

  • Is this a different actress named Li Yi Tong or what? She looks so drastically different here.

How did she get so fuglified?

She could act as a Qing dynasty man with that hairline. Good lord

  • She indeed didn't look nice in that pic. But could that be photoshopped too?
Her face is considered on delicate and prettier side among C actresses.

  • Better to have natural high hairline than to use dark powder for a fake hairline or even in some instances tattoo a new hairline. Cnetz have the most ridiculous beauty standards for their celebs.

  • I’m pretty sure most c actors and actresses already stated their hairlines are messed up due to all the wigs they wear for the dramas they make. Especially the historical ones. Why should they be shocked. Plus the older you get unfortunately the more hair you lose and it also depends on health as well. So judgmental.

    • @rero
Completely agree with you. I read the same thing. All the hairdo and pins really add stress to their hair and scalp. She is not the only one facing this problem.

  • High time they should get rid of the historical drama wigs, they are balding everyone. Xu Kai wore a wig in Best Choice ever which is a modern drama, his receeding hairline could also be the reason. These people are too young for such hair loss.

  • She does have high hairline, and I think she never hides the fact because I've seen it a few times. A lot of her dramas are costume, her stylist just camouflage it.

  • I hope she feeds herself properly. Imo she looks like she lacks nutrents - too skinny with tired looking eyes. It always seems she gonna pass out at any moment

  • Goethe had a very high forehead and in his day it was considered a sign of intelligence.
As for the netizens coming up with these ridiculous demands regarding the appearance of actors (whose foremost qualification should be acting, not modelling) I don’t even need to look at their foreheads to assess their intelligence as below average.
And why can’t I stop picturing them as fat, spotty teenagers venting their life’s frustrations at some celebrities?

  • It's probably due to the wigs they have to wear for costume dramas. People are so harsh.

  • Crazy how people like mocking other people when they probably look uglier and would need to use advance fillers to even try showing them online. LOL
