      It's always funny when international fans start defending this while Chinese are having a blast laughing about over-editing. You can't defend something that is common knowledge.

    • @Nah, Like I always say, everyone edits their photos now a days. So there really isn't anyone who isn't "unedited". Unless you met the person and see for yourself how ugly they are. Now, based on how pretty you have to be in order to even land any role in Chinese dramas, Yang Zi can't be THAT ugly. LOL And yes, as a international fan, its very funny when we see Chinese fans and how toxic their fan culture is. We over here laughing like hell too. LOL

      I never once said she was ugly. She is a pretty woman but nothing extraordinary. She obviously wishes she was though.

      This is why editing is so harmful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her natural face. Unless you consider not being once in a generation beauty, like say Ni Ni, wrong.

      There is no more middle ground at all these days. Almost all celebs edit, yes. But there is a huge difference between what Yang Zi does, which is editing her face almost to the point of being unrecognisable sometimes and just smoothing the skin.

      She should be mocked because she sells the image of strong woman, buys so many hot searches about her beauty and then turns around and edits herself to extreme whether the face or her body because she is not actually happy with how she looks.

      Also, I think YZ knows she is not extraordinary or the standard beauty, she’s been told this most of her acting career since she was kid. It’s probably why she’s lost so much weight over the years due to how people see her. I can’t blame anyone for working hard in their careers. You’re also wrong, she is a strong woman. It’s why she is where she is, while people like you just talk behind a keyboard.

• I seriously think Yang Zi needs to change her wardrobe and stylists coz they usually dress her in quirky and outdated clothes with bad hairdos in dramas and outings. This lovable, pretty and talented lady needs an overhaul in terms of styling and outfits.

      I agree with you. Yeah sometimes she looks okay but they could do so much better…. even if they wanna make her a little quirky, at least give her a decent look. Sometimes strands of her hair were made to stick out like sore thumb…and her clothes resemble 1950s…fugly. Or they dress her up with old fashion hair bun looking like the wet market lady….

• I do love how they kept her freckles...But I do know she has weight issues as she does enjoy her food. She must be really starving herself... I have extreme soft spot for her since she was young. But it does sadden me she has to starve herself due to fandom and industry expectations. But it is her choice and I will still support her shows.
  I am wondering if Ozempic has made its way to China, I hope Yang Zi dont use such weight loss method.
