I can see the production of Kill Me Love Me want to strike while the iron’s hot but this may still take a few months at the earliest to happen. Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yi wrapped Kill Me Love Me earlier this year and the drama has been in post-production since. But with the success of Wu Jin Yan’s currently airing C-drama The Double putting her back on the radar again with viewers, KMLM’s production want to fast-track their drama to air as soon as possible. It’s currently speeding up post-production to provide a finished product to the authorities for the second and final review approval. Once that happens the drama can air at anytime thereafter. I’m like the drama because it’s good but it doesn’t make me want to automatically watch anything the leads are in, The Double is succeeding primarily due to the satisfying story told in a fast-paced way.

I am so so so happy for her ! I cried a lil bit watching ep 20 and 21. Her acting was so good ! And the person that Wang Xing Yue as ML deserves a pay rise
Given the right role, Wu Jin Yan can own it... She has a stable place in this industry...
She’s doing well and I like Liu Xue Yi a lot too, why not? Hope it’s good!
Please be true! [I read the novel all in one giant go and it's not high-literature but it's 100% ultra-angst with a stoic, iron-willed FL- she literally does not know when to give up- and an exceedingly manipulative, un-trusting ML, both twisted by trauma, and a bit of a love story underlying it all. It could be SOOO good if the drama is done right, and I can totally see WJY and LXY owning their roles. Fingers-crossed for the script writers!]
Is the book translated in English? Where can I read it. Thx
Sorry I read it in Chinese and am not sure if it's translated :(
I hasten to add that the book male lead character is highly toxic, so I'm actually hoping for a lot of white washing- I was aghast even as I realized the story was hitting the right angst notes.
Youku is churning out top notch dramas this year. In Blossom, Blossoms in Adversity and The Double all gaining praise back to back. With the upcoming The Grand Princess scheduled for July and Kill Me Love Me it looks like a good year for them. They also have the highly anticipated Story of Pearl Girl, Kill My Sins and the new Xiao Zhan drama for next year. They have a good eye for stories.
Compared to the other network, youku definitely has some of the good shows one want to definitely check out at least.
It seems so. The Double has rekindled my faith in C drama that I had been scathing about for a while. Will Xiao Zhan's new drama be on Youku too? Perhaps good for both. I'm so tired of releases on the other platforms.
If you like The Double you should really try Story of Kunning Palace and In Blossom. The female lead for the latter is weak but the story is very compelling. In fact C drama have been really good in the last few years. New Life Begins is another very refreshing drama. Agree about Youku they've been putting out surprise hits for a few years now but this year they seem to be on a roll. Yes the new XZ drama is also on Youku. They have the new YY and YSX dramas too so they have their underdogs and box office hitters balanced out which is a good thing. They are investing in both traffic and non-traffic stars so I have hope for their quality. Iqiyi is very flashy which works at times but many times it falls flat like the new Fox Spirit Matchmaker drama. I don't like the CGI for Wetv dramas but they do a good job with their non xanxia costume dramas and some of their urban dramas are good.
I hope people don't start saying that she's being overexposed just for having 2 dramas out back to back like other actresses. Everyone deserves success for their hardwork, good for her!
Am I the only one that keeps seeing this as Kill Me Heal Me?
