So I don’t think this will derail C-actress Zhou Ye‘s career but it’s definitely one of this situations where she could have done it differently to avoid this bad press. This week Zhou Ye attended a movie event and afterwards she was walking backstage where a lot of event organizers and media were present through the hallways. 6th Princess (CCTV-6) had its reporter call out to her not just once but twice in greeting and the respectful and professional response would be a turn to acknowledge with a smile and wave back, nothing more needed. She ignored the first greeting and then even turned further away her face for the second one as she motored through there. CCTV is the national government network and has the biggest clout in the industry, with CCTV-1, CCTV-2, CCTV-3 and so forth all covering and broadcasting different genres and CCTV-6 (6th Princess) is the movie channel. Zhou Ye immediately rocketed to #1 search (Zhou Ye Black Face, which black face here means bitch face and not the US connotation) after the rumors spread and then subsequently the footage came out from the 6th Princess vantage point. A few actresses have been dinged for ignoring reporters and generally having a bitchy attitude during promos including Wu Jin Yan and Wang Chu Ran, so this definitely isn’t going to do Zhou Ye any favors.

She has been dragged for days.
Problem is that she is a lousy actress who is only here because she has huge backing. Doing something like this is really dumb in that case. If she disappears after this, it won't be a loss.
She must be tired but I think a simple gesture like an acknowledging nod would’ve sufficed.
Lucky her she’s under Li Bingbing’s Hesong. She won’t run out of resources. This won’t affect her.
Stop being a hater,she didnt come to this stage cuz of any backup, she is really pretty, and no actress as her age is as talented as her, she is great actress
@Merry
Thanks for the laugh. She is notorious in China for her terrible acting and getting roles thanks to LBB. Get a grip.
OMG, Now you are just an unreasonable hater, she never got bad reviews on her acting whether local or internationally, and Zhou Ye is known to have a wide range of characters, she is one of few growing actresses thats not an Idol drama actor
Zhou Ye used to get lashings for her acting Check chinese social media
Much ado about nothing.
A simple nod, even if she's in a bad mood, will suffice.
Another actress almost lost her career for this exact thing.
Alot of the Chinese actors doesn't seem friendly. I've seen alot of clips where their fans would be waiting outside and the minute they arrive, they don't even care to even wave hi. I get that alot of fans can be annoying but they're still your supporters and a friendly gesture doesn't hurt.
For the popular actors and actresses, many of those who waited outside are not fans but proxies and sasaengs who earn money by livestreaming celebrities. Most popular celebrities' teams have also made it clear to the fans that they should not follow the actor/actress on unofficial/unreleased schedules, so as to prevent crowding and chaos. The size of the Chinese population is much larger than other countries, meaning there's much more people for everything compared to other countries like Korea, and it's too easy for crowding to occur. So, to not encourage their fans to follow on unofficial/unreleased schedules, popular celebrities will ignore those who followed them. With that said, Zhou Ye's case is different though.
What if she ignored some noisy annoying reporter who dont know when to call it off, so should we feel bad for him or something bffffffffffff
Honestly a smile n a wave would have cause her nothing as koala said, we get that she might be tired or not in the mood but this is the professional she chose so when she is in the limelight her behaviour matters especially in the type of entertainment industry she is in.
Some said it much do about nothing, that true, but having an attitude in her kind of industry will not favor her especially since she is still establishing herself has an actress. I feel that c neitzen r actually lenient on her , with another actress, this outcome would have been much worse because some get called out for having an altitude but never been seen this way, n they get troll for it as much.
"I feel that c netizen r actually lenient on her" - Are you seriously?? They're not lenient to her, to keep it slide is a one and only normal reaction.
To cancel or to hate some actress for this is ridiculous.
Zhou Ye is a weak actress with good resources,i dont think a video its enough to say she has bad attitude. Some of these actresses are constanly hungry, especially in these events to show off the dresses. They are probably always hungry and grumpy 🤣🤣.
These reporters acting all mighty and coming for blood dragging her down just because they've been ignored. I saw them simply hold a regular phone with a cheap ass sticker type to the phone expecting the artist to take them serious. For all we know, it could have been any crazy fans too.
That being set, she should present herself better because she wants people to watch her project. Better to avoid negative press.
Yes even actor who are tolerant and mature like Xiao Zhan are now so sick of these reporters and he makes sure to cover himself from head to toes just to make sure those annoying reporters dont get to take single photo of him
Not true. Those that XZ avoids are sasaengs and proxies, not official reporters.
@Merry
Don't involve other people by spreading lies. XZ hides himself from sasaengs, not from official reporters.
If you want to defend your idol don't involve others!
Above comments making excuses for poor attitude. The reporter didn't sound arrogant, even came across as super friendly. If every actress is starving and hungry then all the more that the ones who still manage to smile and/or give a simple nod to an employee stand out for giving the bare minimum courtesy.
He was not arrogant he is annoying like a fly and they all seemed friendly just to take a photo and why you ask that to stop and keep their distance or you just refuse taking a photo like this dude they show you their true ugly face.
