With the flop that was Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, I’m not sure if I’ll see Liu Shi Shi back on the small screen first with her earlier filmed Fox Spirit second chapter Love in Pavilion or this just wrapped filming Kill My Sins. Both are 2025 dramas but I’m hoping for Kill My Sins both for the backdrop story, and I like her male lead here Shawn Dou (Dou Xiao) more. The drama wrapped filming this month and there are first new stills out, it’s got a dark and grittier vibe than the xianxia dramas and among the Tang dynasty dramas on deck it seems more ominous with the mystery element.

Looks intriguing. 😊
I'm totally buying this and looking forward to this drama. I like both leads a lot. The stills also look interesting.
Looking forward to this. The teaser pics look good.
Maybe it’s just the pics but Liu Shi Shi does not age?! Last I saw her was BBJX (the historical ver) and she looks the exactly the same lol. Anyway she’s beautiful here.
She has definitely aged. LOL. I was watching Sound Of The Dessert and I can see the difference in her appearance. It's not for the worse though, she still looks great.
Also, artists in whose profession their appearance plays an important role, have various methods at their disposal to take good care of it. LOL. In West they tend to be more vocal about this.
So fast! Feels like we only just heard about the casting and they have completed filming already.
I agree...I was surprised too.
shawn dou is not good looking enough for her. i hope he won't be described in this drama as the most handsome, i can't take that seriously when the actors don't fit. but i have heard he is a talented actor, so i'll settle for that. even so, is it hard to match men and women who are on the same beauty level? i'm watching the blue whisper and allen ren is not in the same league as dilraba....
When it comes to actors, I think looks are a very subjective matter because all actors are attractive in some shape or way.
To me, Shawn Dou is really handsome and masculine, and he and Liu Shishi look great together in my opinion.
Second! They both have unique auras and are attractive on screen.
Maybe you just like flowerboy type, which more popular nowday. SD look more masculine like most of actor in his gen. Actually i really curious why beauty standar for actor change so much in Asia (or China)??
Nope, I dislike flowerboys. Being masculine does not mean being handsome, it is a fallacy to associate the two.
I just don't find Shawn Dou handsome. He has average features, I've seen men who look better on the Chinese streets when I've gone sightseeing. But again, I've been told he's a great actor, so I can ignore his lack of beauty if he can act.
Seriously? I think he is one of the best looking C-actors. He actually looks masculine and handsome rather than a skinny flowerboy who looks like he will fall over if there is a strong gust of wind
@Sunny I don't even write that I like a skinny flowerboy, so why they are the negative example in order to boost Shaw Dou's looks? Lol. One of the best? To you, not to me. I find him to be average, masculine or not, it doesn't matter. He has simple facial features. Nothing impressive or outstanding. Ordinary like the Chinese men I have seen on a diary basis.
He is not good-looking to me either. I maybe like his body because he has good proportions but I also find his face to be plain and generic There are better faces in C-Ent. To each their own I guess.
I'm loving the dark vibes of these posters. Can't wait to watch this! Both leads look great!
This year there are more cdramas that I’m interested in over kdramas. Actually even the next year lineup of kdramas doesn’t sound very interesting but most new cdrama announced this year sound very interesting.
Im looking forward to this one. Pleaseeee be good. The poster vibe looks amazing. The genre is my cup of tea. Liu Shishi is that girl. She has eyes on good script.
Shawn's acting is always captivating to me. Especially when he plays a dark character. Love it.
Why haven't I heard about this drama before?! lol
This looks right up my alley. Great to see Shawn Dou in another costume drama again. I hope the script will be good and they don't mess up the ending.
