New Stills of the Six Leads of Lost You Forever Part 2 Feels Like No Time Has Passed Getting Back into the Mood of the Drama

I’m a nostalgist and also have developed patience with age, the year long wait between Lost You Forever Part 1 and now the coming Part 2 was frustrating when it happened but now feels like a shrug of no big deal. The drama is returning next week and Tencent released the first batch of official lead stills showing Yang Zi, Zhang Wan Yi, Deng Wei, Tan Jian Ci, Wang Hong Yi, and Dai Lu Wa exactly as we left off with each of them. The same spirit, angst, uncertainly, and hope for the future that lays ahead.

  • Technically no time has passed in the drama universe but unlike you I don't think the gap is no big deal. I barely remember the last season. The gap broke the momentum of the show. I also was able to ponder and see more glaring flaws in the show during that break. Plus I watch k and c dramas because they do not have multiple seasons but a concise ending in one go. I doubt I'll ever watch a show divided in two parts like this again.

  • I love Tan Jian Ci's character! I hope to see more relevant scenes about Xiangliu in this season.

  • Wang Hong Yi looks so much better in that pic. I can't believe I'm starting to feel sorry for Feng Long.

I can't say I'm happy with the year long wait, but it has given a year more to spend time with the characters, explore them deeply in the novel and drama, discuss with new friends the various layers of the characters and story, learn more than I ever considered about Chinese poetry and mythology and language. I will be sad to let them go after part 2 airs.

Maybe this production company and crew could take on Once Promised and do it properly.

      • Actually, they added episodes. It has 23 now, instead of 21.

My understanding, which could be wrong, was here was some confusion about the number of episodes in each season originally reported. There was supposed to be a total of 60 episodes, divided equally between the seasons. But they decided not to leave everyone on the cliff hanger of Xiao Yao's death in Episode 30, and continued on to 39. So, season 2 wasn't so much cut, but had some of their episodes moved to season 1. The total number of episodes remained the same -- 60.

Of course, now, they've added 2 more -- not sure where they came from, since it was dubbed in the fall last year. But I'll take them!

  • I dont quite remember the last part of the season 1, but sometimes i've watched the ost and reminiscing about this drama.

I dont wish for a happy ending since i disliked the ending of the novel but will watch it till the last ep for Xiang Liu.
