My relationship with Lost You Forever will always remain the first and most memorable love, what with how much I lived and breathed the novel during the years of translation. Three whole books people! Which sadly is only going to become a 60 episode drama, with Part 1 airing last summer with 39 episodes and Part 2 reportedly only have 21 episodes, which sucks because the second half of the story is actually even more intricate, nuanced, and riveting in scope and scale. But even if Part 2 which premieres on Monday July 8th ends up a little Cliff Notes I am still ready to embrace it heart and soul, to see the story of Xiao Yao, Cang Xuan (Zhuan Xu), Jing, and Xiang Liu come to an end onscreen. The latest character stills released are actually the exact same moments from the first stills released for the drama in promoting Part 2 except for a more wide lens view. It’s so meaningful I love it.

Is there a rule that chinese production company cannot exceed 60 episodes even if split over two seasons with a gap of a year?. Since they have followed the rules, why can't they restore season 2 to a full 40 episodes???....
