Luo Yun Xi and Zheng Hehuizi Cast in Youku Modern Crime Thriller C-drama

Another C-drama is slated to kick off filming in the next few weeks and the leads are set. The Youku modern crime C-drama 锁证者 (best translated as Evidence Witness) will star Luo Yun Xi and Zheng Hehuizi and will reportedly have an overseas location shoot in Thailand as well as filming on set in China. This is a solid casting for me and a good change from both leads being in period dramas more often than not.

  • Good for him. He should start to make a foray into genres other than idol and costume. I don't think his acting is bad but his costume visuals turned me off thanks to his heavy makeup and very skinny physique. I absolutely keep myself open for his dramas if he doesn't focus on romance and his acting can convince me. There are many excellent actors who don't look attractive but their acting is just too good to dismiss.

Also thriller is always my thing if everything isn't too bad.

    • I agree with you. In his most recent drama, his was overshadowed by supporting male due to his frame..

This will be interesting to watch. Zheng Hehuizi is just a upbeat and chatty actress, she will be a good pair.

  • @HL, I did reply to you but that comment didn't show up. No worries. I've never taken your remarks offensive cos you're not a troll. LOL.

    • I can't understand his vibe and thin appearance. I don't get why he doesn't focus on improving his physical appearance instead of consistently getting costume-drama roles. Due to his skinny figure, a photo comparing his waistline to Song Yi’s became viral on hot search, implying that he is even smaller than the main actress.
This maybe one of the reasons for the lack of chemistry between them

      • Even naturally thin guys I have seen in my life can become bigger with exercises. I want to know whether he only tries to eat more rather than trying to gain muscles, because some people have hard time putting on weight.
At this point I think he has health issues rather than purposely keeping himself thin.

  • Love the sound of this pairing! Lyx is always a delight in the acting department, and I also like his visuals the way he is as long as it's not associated with any serious health issues. He has great screen presence, charisma and charm in his acting and a beautiful clear voice. Zheng he huizi is also lovely and upbeat, she just lends a certain spark to the characters she plays no matter lead or supporting. Hope it works out well for both of them...

  • He looks malnourished lol. In earlier dramas before End of the Moon, he wasn't so skinny and looked better. I get that being scrawny made sense for the character Tantai Jin but hope he puts on more weight. I find him not bad as an actor with a pleasant voice.

  • What’s with all these body shaming comments? If this were an actress instead of an actor, would you feel as comfortable doing so as you are now doing?

It seems that every article about Leo Luo makes these comments and commenters crawl out of the woodworks. It’s getting repetitive. It’s high time to change the tune of the conversation. If you really don’t have much to say about him except criticize his physique, maybe don’t say anything at all? It’s not like he’s going to read your comments and suddenly start pigging out just to please you all and make you happy about his body shape, is he?

    • Totally agree. I am not a fan of his and do think he needs to put on weight, but I hate this constant body shaming. If you don't like him, just don’t comment.

    • It's not really ab Leo i noticed that ppl here on Koala like to shame every actor, there is literally not even a single actor who is save here, if they are not nitpicking on their acting it's their face or body, ppl here are so toxic.

    • You overreact! It's not body shaming! It's one type of numerous opinions about an actor who's subject to public review including his acting, appearance, style, aura, and mannerism etc. People can like or dislike LYX for whatever reasons. "Body Shaming" is kinda moral label. It's a stretch to force such a derogatory label on ppl who just make very ordinary comments.

Is it a criminal act to say "I don't like orange" just because eating orange upsets my stomach? LOL.

Ok, I'm shaming orange cos I don't like orange??????? LOL.

If I don't like orange or blue cheese or burgers or football or gaming or window shopping or hot weather or random whatnot, I surely can't say that online to a group of strangers in real life by your reasoning???? This is exactly your logic but it's so ridiculous, not to mention ppl including me don't just say not being a fan of his physique but also recognize his strength and merits, e.g., acting.

So, only ppl worshiping LYX as a god without any flaws are entitled to comment about him. That's what you're implying here. I see the same rabid mentality rampant across Asian drama forums. When did fans get to realize there are not only fans loving their faves to the moon but also ppl who either dislike them or just don't care? Everyone is free to express their opinions, you being tired of or not, and you like it or not. LOL.

  • I like him better in modern drama,he should forgo romance drama and aim for male centric drama, since the audience keep complaining about his skinny body compared to female lead.

  • I'm really glad and looking forward to this drama. Finally a grittier role for Luo Yunxi..I was kind of fed up with all those Hallmark style dramas he was starring in. He has the acting chops and charisma, it would be a shame to stay stuck in such productions.
