So complaining by fans does work lol, but at least gets some adjustments made. Fans of Dilraba Dilmurat went on an angry online attack last month when the first filming pictures came out from the set of xianxia C-drama Love Beyond the Grave showing her with heavy makeup and overly ornate costumes and excessive accessories. Her fans were pissed at the production making her look visually bad and even angrier when the second female lead costumes looked better. A closer look showed the male leads were also overly dressed and accessorized so this was a drama-wide issue. Reportedly Dilraba ever the professional was nonplussed and the production planned to ignore her fans demands. But this week new stills show Dilraba’s outfit, makeup, and accessories are all toned down indicating there is indeed a change to the way her character is visualized onscreen. Since I also hated the earlier looks I’m glad her fandoms complaints led to a positive development.

...or it is simply a different scene; different scene, different outfit.
I know right? xD kkkk I dont think the change is cause of the fandom's nonsense uproar...
BUT if it makes them happy to think this way then so be it lol
Lmaoo this makes me laugh but I imagine that’s what actually happened 🤣 to be honest tho, this stuff successfully aroused a lot of people curiosity so that’s a win. People are gonna check this out of curiosity
Could be …. however I am so glad to see the Halloween costume gone… at least for now, for this particular scene.
They probably have a mortal realm arc with plainer styling. But when this life is over over it's back to bling bling.
Lol I was thinking the same thing! It could just be a different arc in the drama...
Sometimes fan complaints do work and there is a change of direction but I don't think this alone is enough for us to know for sure.
What certainly hasn't changed is his dead expression.
The red added to his black outfit and the simplicity to her outfit with fewer hair items and a simple red outfit not sure if this changes much but does look different from before. They might have tweaked their outfits but I think they might be the same attire. It sure is tough to please the fandoms.
This look is much better...But it may just be different scenes..
IMO Dilraba looks better with lighter makeup and simpler clothes in costume dramas. But in modern fare such as events and red carpet, she slays even with flashy and exotic dresses.
I agree... 100%... I feel heavy makeup and costume makes her look older and it seem to weight her down..
He still looks disinterested.
I personally think Arthur Chen's visuals fit modern setting better. But I'll check out this drama for his sake although I've never been able to pass beyond 2 eps of Raba's dramas. LOL. I'll keep my expectation very low though.
