• Man I’d be excited but the story only sounds like a stress inducing watch. These storylines can be the most frustrating for me. lol sounds like one I would wait till it finishes to see if it is worth the hassle.

  • I know! Why can't we have some stories about merchants? There are stories with FLs working in the delivery/escorting of goods business. Why not have a ML in that work?

    • Merchants were not part of the elite class in classic Chinese society, so merchant MLs are not an aspirational character group to write stories about.

• Wow she is the exact actress I wanted him paired with as far as younger actresses go. She's just naturally regal giving off a similar air as actresses like Crystal Liu and Nini. Just really wanted to see WXY in an upcoming project paired with an actress that gives off a mature energy. Unfortunately, most of the popular younger actresses have a cute girl next door energy rather than a young classic leading lady energy. WXY and Wang Chu Ran look like leads who can be each other's equal in the chemistry department. I hope it's a serious drama. I really want to see a romance drama featuring two mature younger lead characters without all the silliness.

• This is actually a very nice pairing although I've yet to finish Are You The One.

• She's in talks with another period drama with Cheng Lei. Wang Xingyue also needs to film his drama with Bai Lu. It'll take awhile for this rumor to come true, if it ever does.

  • Is the Bai Lu drama confirmed? I thought she wanted to take a break from costume dramas for a while. Plus, even though I wouldn't mind a reunion between Bai Lu and WXY as leads, he's already been in two relatively recent dramas with her. I think he should get some time to establish himself and have the opportunity to work with other actresses before working opposite Bai Lu for the third time. I hope WXY and Wang Chu Ran sign on for this palace drama and it goes into production first.

    • The media outlet that reported this said filming is set for next year and the description does match one of the roles that Yu Zheng said WXY was considering. As for Tang Palace, Yu Zheng said recently that Bai Lu has already decided on her next drama but people are speculating that the contracts to Tang Palace were already signed around her birthday as he posted a lineup of names from his company around that time (Bai Lu, Wang Xingyue, He Ruixian, Liang Rongqi) with a caption about a strong script and his rant was just to garner buzz as usual.

    • Bai Lu is not but WXY is confirmed. Yu Zheng said he signed the contract for WXY. Filming is set to begin soon in Nov so if there isn't any other rumored female lead it should be Bai Lu.
      Yeah I wanna see him with other actresses instead of only his company ones but ig Yu Zheng wants him to work with established actresses to build up his portfolio first.
