Well the OG 90’s era male K-stars certainly know how to all be drama llamas. There was Seo Taiji and Lee Ji Ah and their secret marriage and divorce, then Lee Byung Hun dating Song Hye Kyo before eventually settling down with Lee Min Jung, Lee Jung Jae dating the Samsung heir’s ex-wife, and now add Jung Woo Sung to another wowser reveal. Dispatch released the news that Jung Woo Sung was the father of model Moon Gabi‘s baby son who arrived in March of 2024. His agency subsequently confirmed the news and reveals the two have reached and understanding parenting responsibilities. Jung Woo Sung reportedly welcomed the baby but has no plans to marry Moon Gabi, and in fact the two weren’t even in a serious dating relationship when she got pregnant. TBH I’m not scandalized, he’s 51 years old and she’s 35 and both are consenting adults so welcome the new parents to baby life!

Old unmarried man = manwhore who enjoys sleeping around with no responsibility
Its always like this. He's willing to refuse to marry her and take the hit to his reputation because he doesn't think she's good enough. He'll send some money her way but everything that has transpired so far says he will not be an active father at all. What was she thinking, having a baby with a middle aged man? By the time the kid graduates university, Jung Woo Sung will be in diapers!
These words are so mean but so true that I can't rebuke you. LOL.
It's hilarious how you candidly described it, hahahah! "JWS will be in diapers" (what a fall from grace from his memorable role as that gruff carpenter, with a ditzy pamperred Son Ye-jin. What was that movie again, where she has early onset of Alzheimer's - ahhh, A Moment To Remember!)
Not a fan of the unmarried rich actor JWS but calling him manwhore just bec he opted to remain unmarried and enjoy his single life is such a boomer behavior 🙄
Both parties are single and know what they’re doing and the possible consequences of their action. The woman is a 35 year old ffs 🤦♀️ she got pregnant after having s3x and decided to proceed with the pregnancy and the man who got her pregnant acknowledged the baby and will give support! End of story! so idk why boomers are pushing their holier than thou narratives of marriage and other blah blah !
Interesting to connect such quips to boomers. At least I'm not a boomer. LOL.
boo f*cking hoo! we all know that if this was a woman who got in the news for sleeping around with younger men, she'll be labeled a "wh*re" and much worse. it's about time men get called out for being the manhoes that they are lmao 🤷🏻♀️
Uh, how is it "boomer behavior" to call out men for their sh*t? If anything, boomers, men and women, always shield the man and put all the blame on women. Boomers are mostly misogynistic and patriarchal, they will NEVER hold men accountable. Next time, don't use terms you don't understand lol
If someone younger than him did this… their career might be hindered. But it’s fine because he is 50 something and choosing not to marry. That is crazy stuff lol. I’m sure this is normal though just probably not projected as much unless you are famous like this guy.
It's not "fine", like someone else said it's basically similar to Chris Pine or some other perennial Hollywood bachelor having a baby with Cardi B.... The public can't understand it because their images don't match and Jung Woosung is obviously a player. Personally I think it's sad that Gabi wants to have a baby with someone who doesn't want others to know of her existence.
You know what's not fine...."marrying for the sake of image and people w/ mentality like yours." Stop judging when he has chosen the best route for him and the mother/kid.
@lil Oh please Jung Woo Sung didn't choose anything why are you acting like the dude has much say or doesn't see the baby as an "oopsie" after having a fling, Jung's only choice is to have casual sex with Gabi and she got pregnant then decided to keep the baby regardless of what the guy wanted because she's 35 (same as the Hua Chenyu & Zhang Bichen scandal, he was apparently angry she decided to have the baby and raise it herself despite his objection), male stars who fck around but need to maintain their clean image for delusional female fans like you ALWAYS want their fckbuddy to abort or keep quiet if they get pregnant from casual sex. They NEVER want their casual sex partner to reveal that they are a guy who goes around sleeping with different models and random women from clubs but I've seen it for myself during a part-time gig at an expensive nightclub that the male celebs in my country will visit clubs and bring home different models or influencers every night because it's easy to score when you are a A or even C list celeb. Women even models will drop their panties easily for men on TV. That's why a lot of actors don't get married and keep playing, plus their delusional fans will continue supporting more if they stay unmarried and give those silly fans the illusion of hope that their dream man isn't married lmao.
Also Jung's barely going to be participating in the raising of Gabi's child and she and her parents will do 99% of the hard work while he meets the kid a few times in his life maybe not even once a year. He's not choosing any route for the kid lol. For Gabi she probably wants the baby since she's 35 and may not have many chances to have a kid in future if she doesn't plan to marry soon, plus she may not plan to marry at all but want a kid she can raise on her own. Plus her sperm donor is a rich tall actor who can provide resources to raise the kid if she ever has any big health/financial woes or accidents, so in case she ever needs the sperm donor to step up Jung Woosung can do it. It's a bit selfish for sure since the kid will be raised without a dad and Koreans are very judgmental but Eileen Gu the Olympic skier is an example of how it can be successful. Her mom was rich enough to raise a kid by herself with her parents and apparently went to a US sperm bank (this is speculation mostly) and picked a sperm donor whose traits she wanted e.g. high IQ, tall, white and had her daughter. She raised the kid with her own parents and Eileen is a Stanford undergrad, multiple Olympic gold medalist, and one of the top luxury ambassadors in China. In other words if you have a supportive family and enough money it's possible to be a single mom and raise a kid well despite 0 fatherly presence.
The comparison I saw from a K-netz on Twitter was this is like finding out Tom Cruise was secretly having booty calls with and then had an oops baby with Cardi B. But this woman isn't even on Cardi B's level of fame which makes it even more random.
@Guest
Can you not spread misinformation about Hua Chenyu?
He didn't even know she was pregnant. She never told him. He only found out after the child was born because she broke up with him when she found out and left him.
They co-parent amicably now so please don't accuse him of things he isn't guilty of.
@What
Hua Chenyu was factually fckbuddies with Zhang Bichen though? After she had a kid secretly he was apparently very upset and tried to affect Zhang's career because he's from a rich mining conglomerate (that itself is scandalous, the mining conglomerate his family runs has a lot of workplace death accidents and is notorious in his province which is why he keeps it hush hush) and sees the child as an attempt to split his family fortune. For some reason the posts I see about him are always negative, iirc a long time ago there were posts about his extensive plastic surgery and hair transplants on Chinese sites.
51 is still younger than Ha Jungwoo's dad who had an oops baby with his much younger girlfriend so there's that. Disney+ has got to be thanking its lucky stars that his drama doesn't premiere until mid-2025 at the earliest so this issue would be largely forgotten by that time. And Hyun Bin must be praying the media will forget that Jung Woosung has a cameo is his upcoming movie too. Someone joked that this is the time for kpop idols to get into a dating scandal because all of Korea will be talking about Jung Woosung for a few more weeks.
Jung Woo Sung is nominated for Best Actor at the Blue Dragon Awards and the ceremony is this week on the 29th. I wonder if he will attend?
Yeah looks like he's confirmed to be at the ceremony. I remember when Kim Minhee skipped all awards ceremonies after her scandal blew up. Guess it's different for the men.
@Popgo
Although you can be right, for men it can be easier than for women, I think despite criticism Kim Min Hee was supported by industry. I think movie and drama industries pretty different in Korea. She won Best actress awards after her "scandal", and here's a speech of the director, who presented Best actress award at Jecheon Film Festival:
"At the Jecheon International Film Festival where the Director's Cut Awards were held, director Lee Hyun-seung, who presented the Best Actress award, said, "With her beautiful face and acting skills, I thought what would come out of meeting director Park Chan-wook. Although she couldn't come due to various external circumstances, the directors' hearts did not change. They voted without thinking about anything else other than her acting and cinematic passion." He then said, "Min-hee. The directors love you," expressing his thoughts on the award."

@Popgo
Well lee byunghun also didn’t get into trouble after the scandal cheating on his pregnant wife with a young idol. Male artists do have some sort immunity unfortunately
@Olesya1 and @Yuhyi: I think the Kim Minhee and Lee Byung Hun scandals received different responses because of the wives. For Kim Min Hee and that old man director that the wife refused to stay quiet and divorce quietly like they were hoping and publicly shamed them both.
On the other hand, Lee Bung Hyun cheated on his wife repeatedly (probably still does) but she stuck by him and is always loud and proud showing off their relationship and that she is Mrs Lee Byung Hyun. No point outsiders getting up in arms about his cheating if the wife that he is cheating on doesn't seem to care.
Dating someone you're not into and not being precautious it's being a stupid man . He is 51 he should know better . He asked for a paternity test which is very classy !!! And if the model thought that he would marry her by having a baby , it's sad . But if she is happy and the father assumes it, it's better than getting married and getting divorced a few month later . Hope that the baby will not be ostracize by a conservative society .
If it was a more younger actor , he would be underfire . The actors of his generation weren't what we can call gentlemen .
She post about giving birthing to a baby and expressed how it was a unexpected pregnancy. Her post must have caused him to reveal he is the dad. He did not want a marriage whilst she did after realising she was expecting their baby. No point forcing a marriage....
At least he has admitted to being the dad and have promised to support the child. I do hope dad will play a part in child's life.
He reveals after dispatch’s article, not her post
Oh...Dispatch really know lots of secrets of many celebs.
You wrote a whole fanfic there as if it is the absolute truth. It is so insane.
No, he did not reveal it because of her post. She wanted to marry him and you know this, how exactly? She was even forcing a marriage! Wow, are you close friends with them or something? Oh no, you are not.
You did not read her post... goodness.you talk too much.
You're the one who is talking too much without checking the facts online. Other articles have said he has done a paternity test.
I don't watch his movies and have no clue who she is but they obviously have had sex. Having a baby doesn't mean it must make the couple marry. He admitted his paternity. He paid the prenatal care and monthly maintenance. That's more than how I've seen some biological father do.
@HL
I read her post and I also don't see where she says she wanted to marry him and how she was forcing the marriage. Which part of the text are you quoting here?
Come on, prove it then
Quote her where she said that she wanted to marry him and quote the part of her text that indicates she wanted to force the marriage.
You are making the claim, come on now. Snap to it. Either you can prove what you wrote above or you are slandering her.
@What on, @ck10z, 🙄 whatever...
@HL
I am sure it is whatever because you got caught lying.
Lying?...oh...i read what I read...you read what you read. we just share what we read. what I know is not uncommon news at all...you just dont read enough Korean sources. Anyway... you can judge me for all you want.. Not happy with my comment... just sue me. 🤣🤣
@HL, you actually got caught by this Chinese accuser @Lol who has a fetish to charge ppl with derogatory allegations. @Lol has told many lies no less than CCP if that's her definition of "lying." LOL.
@Somebody
You are mentally ill. Forget this site and go talk to a professional because you have real mental health issues.
We are talking about a Korean woman and a very public post on Instagram that anyone can read, that she is absolutely lying about.
To twist this into some CCP story, is insane. You have real problems. Go deal with those to better your life.
@Lol, it's you who need check in your own mental state constantly bcos the way you're being excessively judgmental and accusatory that's very similar to CCP and their stooges. But I've never been surprised by ppl from that culture and background. Go get some fresh air to cleanse your foggy brain and some green to touch. You need that for a cure. LOL
Why Korean don't use candom
you do realize that there are tons of unexpected pregnancies in the West too, why do you live, under a rock
Condoms can break. In fact no borth control is 100%, including an IUD.
Arf... they're both old enough to use protection...
Being a single mother it's not easy in Korea, she will need to be brave.
Being a single mother isn't easy anywhere, here in the US too. Every single mom needs to be brave, specifically when her child comes to the age of rebellious teen. Good luck on her.
The stigma is different in Korea.
It was what i mean in my comment , i feel bad for the future of the child because he is just a baby and a whole conservative nation knows that he is born out of wedlock wich is a stigmatization in SKorea . As a western , it's not a problem, it's just that single mothers have a hardtime financially and juggling with their career and the education of the child . The child comes first for me, i don't care about the parents .
They’re both old enough to be parents. He’s also agreed to take up parental responsibilities. I don’t see the scandal here.
Are you not familiar with how patriarchal and chauvinistic Korean society is? It may not be a scandal in Hollywood, but all the pearl-clutching people in Korea are surely wagging their tongues at this single motherhood situation.
@TGIS, seriously who cares? You're the one clutching your pearls on behalf of someone else.
Yes, I’m fully aware. But they are adults who can make choices on how they want to live their lives. Abortion is legal is S Korea. She could’ve secretly gone that route if it really bothered her. Nothing they did is criminal and they have the means to provide for the child, so I personally don’t feel like I should be judging her. Maybe she really wanted to be a mother with all the talk about how it’s riskier after 35. Nobody knows all the facts and circumstances. If anything, S Korea should be thanking her considering their low birth rate.
@Rins I wasn't talking to you, go the f^*% away. Who says I'm clutching my pearls? Reading too much into sh#%.
I always had this image ab him in my mind of being old fashion, polite, and chivalrous but guess man will always be man
I don’t see anything scandalous in this? They are both consenting adults who are no co-parenting a child. I like JWS but even if I didn’t, I just see no reason for anyone to criticize him. It’s literally his personal life and there’s no illegal or immoral act here. Meh, moving on.
yeah, i really don’t understand all the fuss when:
1. both are consenting adults. If he didn't use condom during their sex, both must be aware already of the risk that they might have a baby.
2. He wasn’t married or engaged to anyone during their time together. Same thing applies to her.
3. They both agreed to have the baby with no strings attached and he’s ready to support the baby. She’s also ready to take care of the baby.
so what’s the real issue over here? If Kim Seonho can get praised for taking care of his ex gf after they both agreed to get rid of the baby, why are JWS getting different treatment when he and the mother actually agreed to at least give the baby a life?
I read online he is actually seeing a girl right now and the girl was shocked to hear this
It actually became lot worse. It was revealed that he is dating a non artist for over ten years since she was still married and she divorced her husband for him. He also dated a girl born in 98 for roughly a year. This scandal is turning into dominoes
