It’s December woohoo, a month to just wrap up the year with either good or bad and of course just to see what dramas can arrive last minute to surprise you. Period C-drama Guardians of the Dafeng has been rumored to air this month and it’s a big male lead centric drama starring Dylan Wang in hopefully what will be his next leveling up after Love Between Devil and Fairy two years ago. The drama dropped new posters and stills recently as industry insiders confirmed that the drama has finished its advertiser circuit and gotten all the investments it wanted at a high price. The drama is most certainly airing on Tencent this month but I’m not sure the exact date yet.

It's his own voice, he is going to get butchered in China again. His lines are awful. But it looks like it's definitely coming in December.
I don’t understand Chinese, so the finer details of dialects and pronunciation are lost on me.
But I do appreciate Dylan Wang’s voice - the tone a timbre of his voice is very pleasant to me.
@PQ
It's irrelevant what people outside China think, the production aims for Chinese audiences.
His Mandarin is awful and his voice isn't good either. I have no idea why they didn't use a VA.
I don't think he will get butchered. China warmed up to Dylan a lot.
I don't really think there's problem with his dialect and voice, all those stupid Chinese audience, there are many of them that have more bad and awful speaking compared to Dylan! There imperfections are what makes them blame able
He is supposed to be a modern guy finding himself in ancient China. A couple of jokes on "how weird this guy sounds" will suffice to gloss over his accent.
I am glad Dylan knows to pace himself well... he balance all the things he likes to do evenly. That is good for his brand.
I am looking forward to this drama but I am really not warming to female lead... but she may be fun to watch... I doubt they will pick a unsuitable female lead for Dylan.
I don't like her either :/ I've seen her in other stuff and she's always playing some cutesy or childish role. The posters are more focused on him so I hope that's where the focus is.
Me too..
Second this. She's pretty and cute but she always had this kind of role. It gets boring now. Hope she can bring something new in this drama. Both look good in the posters tho.
Can’t wait!!!!!!
Looking forward to this drama for so long now. Hoping everything pans out great.
I think comedy suits Dylan a lot, looking forward to this.
