Cheng Lei’s Assistant Reportedly Fired From Management Company After His Fan Complaints
Well this is certainly some fast and decisive action on the part of C-actor Cheng Lei‘s management company. Mere days after his fans got upset that Cheng Lei’s assistant stole him thunder after leaving an event, said assistant has now been fired. This comes after fans unearthed another instance at the airport when the assistant was also dressed more eye catching than Cheng Lei (see above, assistant in beige coat, Cheng Lei in black jacket). But don’t fret for said assistant, reportedly management companies of SNS stars and influencers have descended on said assistant and he’s now signed with one company to launch his own career. Go forth dude.

Fired for being a better dresser than his boss, who is a star. I agree that Cheng Lei needs to one up his grooming. If his fan wants a t, then he needs to dress like a star, otherwise be prepared to fire a lot of assistants. First time I’ve ever heard of being fired for being too good looking 😉
When a man who hidden inside a giant coat can upstage you, you have no star power. Many people can be actors but only a few can be stars. Cheng Lei is not a star when a house plant can upstage him.😂

That's just it. He lacks the star power and aura. A star doesn't need to wear expensive clothing to stand out.

Agreed, he looks like an old man compared to his assistant. But in other photos, clearly he looks better than his assistant, e.g. assistant in beige coat looking like a stuffed sausage. Yet he still got upstaged...like wut.
CL can do really piercing stares, I give him that. But aside from that, the charisma is somewhat lacking.
I couldn't have said it better myself. He looks frumpy in every single picture I see of him. People forget you have to have charisma to be a star.
