So there are new posters, stills, and a first teaser out already for modern C-drama Lady Liberty (Du Shen Nu Ren 独身女人) based on the same name female-centric novel. The drama stars Tang Yan as the titular single woman or lady liberty as she embarks on a reinvention of herself after heartbreak, and is also a reinvention of her career after her breakout role in Blossoms Shanghai earlier this year. She was the second female lead in that drama so the success helped her immensely but she needs to cement it now with Lady Liberty otherwise that will be seen as a one-off. Lady Liberty has two big name male leads in Mark Chao and Feng Shao Feng so casting wise it’s a well assembled package. The stills and teaser look fine but in recent weeks there has been entertainment gossip discussing how Tang Yan disappointed the production when she refused to cut her hair for the role and has to wear a wig that just doesn’t look natural enough and she’s also not inclined to play the role out of her comfort zone so again the production has to tweak during filming to fit her. However much truth there is to this gossip you can decide for yourself, but in the end the drama will have to succeed or fail when it arrives.

Love Mark Chao since Ten Miles. I'm disappointed he's acting opposite Tang Yan. She's no where near his acting level.
This girl did not learn from my sunshine it seem. Her awful/fake wig was so apparent and distracting. Leading man was the only one caring the show & she slept through the whole drama.
Understandable this is an adaptation, but Frankly, I’m sick of female centric drama because everything happens just to support them. I’ll prefer the both leads are as important
Her wig is just awful! Can't they invest in a better quality natural hair wig?
