Liu Shi Shi Poised to Make C-drama Return in Early 2025 with Tang Dynasty Investigation Story in Kill My Sins
The first two of a slew of female centric Tang dynasty C-dramas arrived and both were just meh. I’m talking about Zhao Lu Si with Story of Pearl Girl and Tan Song Yun in Brocade Odyssey of course. Next to arrive is reportedly Yang Zi in Flourished Peony in January 2025 and now we have scheduling news that Liu Shi Shi and her drama Kill My Sins will air sometime in first quarter of 2025. Kill My Sins thankfully is not a female empowerment through a specific commerce item story, which Pearl Girl dealt with jewelry, Brocade was about dyed cloth, and Peony will be about the cultivation and spread of said flower. Kill My Sins is about a female medical doctor and her arrival at the capital and getting pulled into mysteries and solving crimes. I’m so onboard for that, not to mention I love Shi Shi and her low key demeanor coupled with strong onscreen presence.

Love Liu Shi Shi. She always has that gracefulness about her. I loved her TJTL until that horrible ending. Hopefully this one will have a better ending. Hopefully she picked a better script this time around

@HL I believe it is Shawn Dou (Dou Xiao), which I am excited for! I think he's a pretty good actor. It's nice to see someone different/not the typical young traffic actors nowadays.

I'm looking forward to this one! I hope drama goddess will treat me well with a good script and directing. Several high profile dramas including the most recent one of Dylan Wang have proven that star won't have power if writing and directing go south. LOL.

Reminds me of Deng Hua Xiao plot. If this is the drama adaptation of it, I’d say it’s an excellent choice of an actress, Liu Shu Shi would really fit in the fl’s stoic character.
