This could be a big year for Disney+, what with Netflix hit or miss these days, terrestrial channels still struggling, and big cable like tvN and jTBC also not consistently producing hits. Last year the streaming platform hosted the leads of its biggest on deck dramas to Singapore for a media event and this week released new official shots of the big name stars there. I see Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Boa for Knock Off, Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il in Unmasked, recently aired Joo Ji Hoon and Park Bo Young for Light Shop, and Park Eun Bin and Sol Kyung Gu in Hyper Knife. The best shot is the full group picture, so much charisma and talent in one place and one frame. It sucks that the most common reason for a bad K-drama is a bad script because SK ent has a surfeit of incredibly talented actors and actresses.

Wow! Finally, a K-drama I look forward to. Let's hope it is actually good.
Yes so much to the last pic being absolutely WOW. It’s such an amazing shot and seriously the number of insanely talented actors in one frame is crazy. KSH and JBA actually have chemistry both off and particularly on screen (I was not expecting that whatsoever lol). If only JJH and KDW were able to make, that would’ve been even more amazing.
I have not seen Light Shop just yet (it’s particularly annoying to access Disney dramas in North America) but I heard great things about it. Trigger just released last week and I’ve not heard much but I’ll check it out for Kim Hye Soo regardless. The one I’m most excited about is North Star and Knock Off. The previews for both look sooo good and I’m just hoping they actually turn out even better.
P.s. Disney needs to seriously hire a marketing team for their dramas. Getting these actors and productions on board but not promoting it is criminal. Get. Your. Act. Together. Disney!
Disney does a terrible job promoting their dramas. If Netflix has this line up, they’d be blasting it across all social channels months in advance. I just can’t fathom why they won’t invest in the promotions of their own productions. It’s not like they don’t know how to do it.
Lighthouse actually had the highest views for a kdrama after Moving and it was by the same writer as well. If they poured some $$$, it could’ve been huge. I can’t grasp their logic.
Everyone looks like a million bucks!
KSH looks so handsome in these pics. He carries his clothing so so well. I’m pumped for knockoff even if I hate them for dividing it into two parts. He was interviewed 2 weeks ago maybe and said he hopes to do an ‘adult’ role. No idea what it entails but acc to many of his long time fans it means he likely signed up or is in latter stages for a new role. Knockoff wraps May and he will be in Good Day as well, and potentially filming a new project. He’s going to busy this year too. As a new fan, I thought I’d have to wait years. Hallelujah!
Sorry dumb question but what is Good Day? New drama rumor?
It's G Dragon's variety show. GD has invited his friends, senios, also juniors for the show. Looking forward to Good Day as well.
Not dumb at all! It’s G Dragon’s new variety which a bunch of top actors are guesting for. Kim Soo Hyun, Im Si Wan, Jung Hae In, Lee Soo Hyuk, Hwang Jung Min, Kim Go Eun are a few announced.
Yea, if KSH is definitive in what he wants to do next, chances are he’s already in talks for it lol. I have no idea what he means by adult either but my immediate guess was he’s playing a dad LOL. An Autumn’s Concerto-like role would be very cool (my sister has been watching it recently and it’s fresh in my mind!).
Personally, I want him to do a sageuk. But I’ve been harping on this like a broken record and it’s likely not happening lol
AC as in the Taiwanese drama? If so it’s such an oldie but one of my all time favourites. I wonder why that was never remade into a kdrama…? The plot is ripe for a classic kdrama melo although it’s questionable how well it’d be accepted in 2025…
Missed to add: KSH would kill it as Guang Xi. He has the ability to pull off both the college student parts and the dad ones later on. I liked Vanness but he has his limitations Lolz. I understand the whole topic is left field and AC was just an example but man it would be good to see it remade no matter who the cast.
@Anon
Yes! Lol the Taiwanese drama. It definitely is a kdrama plot (very fitting for the 2000’s time too!) - too bad they never took it up. I don’t remember it too well tbh, but I remember loving it. The child actor there was one of the best I’ve ever seen. And I’m a big YSH fan!
It's actually time for him to return with a sageuk and the best address for that is moon chaewon lol
@Star
If MCW and KSH are to work together, it definitely without a doubt needs to be in a sageuk. I feel the same way for KSH-KTR too. It’ll be some fever dream casting but I have all my fingers and toes crossed for it to just happen already.
As per dc, soohyun is rumoured to be starting in an occult movie/drama which is the adaptation of the comic "toemarok" where he is supposed to play a priest..so maybe that role?
Even though I would also prefer a single dad role or sageuk haha
DC can be such a can of worms lol. But I also have heard of the exorcist movie / drama. The whole thing just sounds like fan casting tho. The webtoon writer mentioned KSH for Hyun Am and Son Ye Jin / Ha Ji Won as Seung Hee + a post on Namuwiki convinced dc folks. It sounds a lot like when CWS was said to be doing that drama with Kim Dami lol.
Not to say I can’t see him doing it (tbh, I could see him signing up for practically anything that hits his fancy LOL) but I doubt it. The Priest/exorcist role doesn’t exactly fit the adult role description, but who knows. KSH can be unpredictable. I also prefer a sageuk or dad or both. I know think this movie had a good source and Han Jae Rim great so there’s a lot of potential, but selfishly, its just not the sort of genre I’m interested in…
Is this not the project DC was claiming is a musical version of the webtoon and Good Day was some build up to it? 😂
90% of the things written in that site is just horseshit 🤣 If they get it right, it’s the clock being right twice a day thing. I do however buy the theory that KSH has already decided his next work. The answer he gave was very specific for it to have not been pointed. Looking forward to whatever it is.
Many of these dramas would benefit from being aired simultaneously with a cable network. And that includes dramas like Tangerine, Melo Movie, Genie, etc. OTT just doesn’t have the reach that regular tv does in SK. Especially not D+ although they have the biggest names and projects this year. Many of these have really interesting synopsis like Hyper Knife, Knock Off, Polaris, et all. I’ll wait for reviews before trying anything unless the full trailers really blow my socks off.
Usually I only watch rom coms or dramas with romance but I am looking forward to knock off. The cast is superb and it’s a topic that hasn’t been done yet in kdramas.
Hyperknife was in my list but it looks too gory for me to handle :/

The only Disney + kdrama project I look forward to is the possible sequels to Moving and A Shop For Killers. Those were the best for me.
The last pic... Daebak! Powerful house!
Wait, is there Son Sokku in the last pic?
Man. So many talented people in one frame. Disney+ Kr or N needs to make an award show for kdramas!!
Disney+ often has the quality kdramas and this lineup shows potential for even more
their problem is that they won't show them outside of like 5 territories and then act like the dramas are the problem for failing to perform (they were planning to cut back on kdramas before Moving happened) when the real problem/reason why they failed to perform is their stupid distribution/access policies!
I feel like I have been waiting a very long time for Knock Off when in fact, it has been less than a year since it was announced. Its so good to see KSH acting more. He has been so exclusive so I have high expectations on Knock Off that he made the decision to star in it so soon after Queen of tears ended.
