iQiyi Confirms Release of Xianxia C-drama Love of the Divine Tree on February 7th and Releases New Preview and Stills
This drama feels like it’s been on deck for much too longer and not for any problems with it, there is just a lot of C-dramas filmed all playing Jenga for the right airing slot. Xianxia C-drama Love of the Divine Tree, which I said was one of three big period C-dramas airing this month, has confirmed a February 7th premiere on iQiyi. Starring Deng Wei and Xiang Han Zhi, it’s a multiple lifetimes god and goddess through incarnation and saving the world et. al. type story, with the two leads being master and disciple in one lifetime and then switched in a subsequent one, so double the shifu issues haha. I also see Chen Xin Hai as the second male lead and I went “Biao Ge!” when I spotted him i.e. he was the stalwart and smart older cousin to the female lead in The Double. Let’s head into this month hopefully with all the upcoming dramas being fun to watch.

This is Deng Wei’s make it chance but it’s not looking promising
I trust the writer...she gave us 'Love and Redemption' and 'Mysterious Lotus Casebook' after all (I loved both). I'm very upset with Deng Wei's agency tbh, they aren't handling his career properly imo. Too much gap between projects will only make the audience forget him in the long run...what a shame *sigh*
The story doesn't sound very interesting, so I probably won't watch it, but I hope it can do well!
