iQiyi Airdrops Long Shelved Republic Era C-drama Back For You with Angelababy and Wang An Yu Today on February 4th

So the airing of Everlasting Longing without any problems has clearly led to iQiyi also making the smart move to airdrop its own long shelved other Angelababy starring C-drama. It’s titled Back For You and is a short 12-episoder with her and Wang An Yu about a police officer solving crimes and the female lead is a woman who awakens to help him when a comic book series is read. The drama was filmed over 3 years ago and for now it’s the last drama left for Angelababy that she had on deck and after this airs unless she gets cast in upcoming C-dramas that’s it for her. I do wonder why this didn’t air in late 2022/early 2023 before Angelababy’s scandal but at least now she can make one last push to keep her relevance or even convince productions to give her future chance.

Idk why I watched Everlasting Longing up until ep 25. 🤪 I kept telling myself it would get better but it just got worse and worse. Will be skipping all AngelBaby dramas. I had thought that people were just being overly critical about her acting but it really is terrible. Blank wide eye all the time. She's pretty but that's all there is. Disappointing.
I want to support her but she is just not great as a actress... She is better at hosting.
I didn't keep track of her now, any idea what she's doing at the moment? I faintly recall some news of her attending events.
this one is good, at least the first few episode, fresh and interesting idea. The media posted praise to the drama and for the first time after long2 time, praise to Angelababy acting
But Angelababy is only ever sleeping in this drama. How can that bring her praise for acting. Wang Anyu is extremely boyishly handsome here.
I actually really liking AB acting in both dramas ,she improved a lot no wooden face, she keep her acting when the camera are not focusing on her, she doesn't pop her eyes in every scene,but I dropped the first drama as I got bored , but this one drama is actually good ,AB scenes are not that many though,I am guessing they cut her out.
Neither one of them are my favorites. I think I will give this a pass unless I hear good news from word of mouth...
