Another period C-novel is getting an adaptation its called The Adventure of Jian Chou (Chinese title Wo Bu Cheng Xian 我不成仙 or I am Not an Immortal). Despite Dylan Wang being rumored for two other dramas, this one is also courting him as the male lead so the boy has no shortage of scripts to pick from. The female lead for this drama is being floated as Chen Du Ling, more on her side wanting this role over the production putting her as the top choice. I think she’s improved and has potential to keep improving so her casting opposite Dylan doesn’t annoy me as much as if it happened a few years ago so let’s wait and see if this one comes to fruition.

I am not a Chen Du Ling fan...she is okay but not outstanding for me. But I Dylan bias so I do hope he picks a suitable script as I do like watching him on small screen. I am aware he has some limitations but they dont bother me very much.
I liked Dylan before. But I feel he's somehow becoming the male version of Bai Lu. LOL. It just appears to me he's going in that direction and his dramas do not interest me much anymore. I usually would check out his dramas, as I did for BL. After none of his dramas I tried to watch but able to finish, he is losing appeal to me. This happened to BL too. I'm also indifferent to CDL (no pun intended LOL).
I became his new fan recently lol. I even thought of going to see him at the airport when he came last time. I only watched meteor garden and started love between fairy and devil last month. I am enjoying it so far. Going to give guardians of dafeng a try next. Not sure what other dramas from him are good. Maybe I will give only for love a try again but his looks there are a bit tacky lol.
I am a bit new to cdramas. I didn’t find any Korean dramas lately that suit my taste so I decided to give cdramas a try. If I’m exposed to more Chinese stars, my interest may change
