Today the respective agencies of IU and Byun Woo Seok had to make a statement that neither star is dropping out of the upcoming romance K-drama 21st Century Prince’s Wife. It’s an MBC drama that was planning to stream on Netflix, but now word is there is scheduling issues and MBC is now in talks with Disney+. But the leads want to work with Netflix so this led to the word leaking that both are dropping out. It sounds like that won’t happen (for now) and I’m glad cuz this is definitely one of the few super high profile K-dramas on deck and I love seeing big hype projects. Whether succeed or fail at least it arrives with a bang.

It's tiresome to see the same people over and over again.
I have suspicious production team just wanted to remind about future IU and BWS drama due to popularity of another IU's drama, WTLGYT.
So puzzling..media really cannot all be trusted.
It is certainly much better to stream on Netflix. Disney ranks behind even local Korean OTTs in terms of market share and reach, and has not produced a hit since Moving. I feel it is a tug of war between MBC, which generally co-operates with Disney, and the production company, which prefers Netflix. Since IU's agency co-produces this drama, it feels like IU's side is the one pushing more for Netflix than BWS's. But whoever leaks this news is putting pressure on the actors. Eventually it will be more likely Disney than Netflix, as Netflix is fully booked for the weekend slot this year.
It's kind of weird to have rumors that even BWS's side is pushing for Netflix, when he has yet to lead a Netflix original. Lovely Runner is not a Netflix original and has shown first on Viu, while he did not lead Strong Girl Nam-soon.
The IU side rumor makes more sense.
Im starting to think this site is turning into another scandal sheet! These rumours were dismissed by the company so why put them out there as if they were true? Lets get back onto dramas please rather than gossip.
