Late K-actress Sulli’s Family Publicly Demands Answers From Kim Soo Hyun and Movie Director for Nude Scene in Real that They Claim She was Pressured Into Adding More Allegations to the Scandal that He Dated Underage Kim Sae Ron

You can call this piling on, or that once the dam has opened so people can openly discuss what was once powerless to discuss then more information will come out. This week the brother of late K-actress Sulli first shaded and insinuated that Kim Soo Hyun was going to get what he deserved a long time coming in SNS posts, before the family formally made allegations towards Kim Soo Hyun and the director of the 2017 movie Real for pressuring Sulli into doing a nude bed scene. That scene ended up being the biggest buzz part of the drama AND led to so much chastising, bullying, and hate towards Sulli, who unalived herself a few years later in 2019. The family alleges there was no nude scene when Sulli got the script and accepted the movie, that it was added afterwards, that there was a body double hired and available for the nude scene but was not used, and that afterwards Sulli expressed to the family how traumatized she was by it and vowed never to do another movie again. His agency Gold Medalist responded to this accusation that its looking into it. In the meantime, GM and Kim Soo Hyun remains mum on all the recent days allegations from additional text messages, the gross Paris lingerie video, and Kim Soo Hyun’s largest Korean fan club is now fed up. It released a statement demanding that the agency and their star respond to so many truly unacceptable if true allegations, saying the silence is becoming hard for them to continue their support in light of how serious the situation is. From the C-tabloids side, a top gossip columnist is saying that insiders are calling this karma towards Kim Soo Hyun for his part in slowly tourniquet-ing Kim Sae Ron’s life after her DUI scandal until she unalived herself due to the stress of paying back contract breach penalties, because he may be on the hook for astronomically more penalties if Disney+ fully scraps his next drama Knock Off. And C-insiders are saying unlike K-ent companies and brands, Disney+ is a US company and is not beholden to the behind-the-scenes machinations that go on in the industry.

  • One thing Sulli and Kim Sae Ron also have in common is that their families are also trash and have been complicit in their mistreatment. I hope they also do some introspection.

    • Particularly the thing that makes me iffy on the several claims. KSH is most likely guilty of many accusations but frankly, both these actresses have been known to have families that weren’t half as dedicated and loving as they are now trying to portray. In particular, I have followed Sulli’s career during her peak and eventual decline and it is a well known fact that her mother and brother used her popularity for their benefit time and again. It was the same with Goo Hara too. If Saeron and Sulli had more unproblematic and truly loving families while they were alive, I’d be far less skeptical and all this bandwagon jumping.

As for Soohyun’s fandom, I totally agree. The agency either needs to take actions legally, or Soohyun himself needs to come out and clarify if there’s anything to clarify. I did not follow his career but I do recall his fans hating on this cousin/brother/whatever for years. The agency itself is a mess in handling PR issues so if he has any sense, he’s speak for himself already. Otherwise this won’t be ending soon.

    • I always wonder if KSR would not have gone through such a decision if she had a better support system in her life? If her parents only saw her as a cashcow, it makes sense that she did not feel comfort from anywhere. What KSH did with her is criminal and I really do hope he gets punished for that but I don't get good vibes from her family as well.

    • Just because it doesn’t involve your family doesn’t give you the right to disrespect someone else’s grief over losing a loved one. The bereaved family also deserves closure regarding his involvement in the cyberbullying. If he’s not guilty, then just say it clearly yes or no. The way you all are disregarding their pain is disgusting. Sure, we may not know the exact dynamics of each family, but whether they were problematic or not is their personal matter. That doesn’t justify disrespecting or dismissing their feelings. Given how quick you are to call other families trash, I can only imagine what yours must be like. May karma return your negativity tenfold for speaking so poorly about others

  • There are even others who auditioned for roles and filmed bed scenes that did not make into edited movie. Gosh, this is getting worse then I expected...I doubt it will end soon...

  • I see this pattern when one person speaks more take boldness to come out over there. Like how long were they going to keep these things to themselves and if true let it continue but one thing is certain the company sure sounds shady.

  • A few hours ago, her brother wrote on IG Ksh’s side tried to reach out to his mom. If true, that sounds like he’s doing what he did to ksr’s parents and trying to talk them out under the table. No wonder his agency said he needs time to verify. To come up either more lies or bribe more people. Not addressing ksr’s case sounds like it could be true those are texts he sent

  • It's not like whole company is shady, majority just ordinary office workers who probably didn't know much about their bosses.
I'm a little worried about GM actors and how scandal surrounding agency can affect them. I noticed Choi Hyun Wook got casting news about Netflix drama with Choi Min Shik a month ago. Filming will start in April, but at posted information about drama filming schedule producers wrote only about CMS as main lead, as if his co-star still isn't chosen. Well, maybe it's just my paranoia.
But I already saw comment from one person here who spread rumors about actors of GM "entertaining" rich producers to get a job. I asked them for any evidences of that, they didn't reply. And I noticed how people using this scandal to mention every celebrity who in any way connected to KSH. It's as people want to bury not only KSH and his cousin, but everyone who is in their agency.
I don't know if actors can terminate their contracts, but I think the ruined reputation of the agency can affect them as well.

      • If everyone knew that the boss in the industry was shady then yes the company is then shady. From my understanding it was well known the owners were known to be shady. The industry seemed to know these secrets and no one spoke for whatever reasons shows this Golden Medalist is shady. Whether actors knew or not does not negate this company is shady. It sucks these actors suffer a bit but when you have a corrupt boss figure these are the consequences. It has happened before with other agencies like during the golden phone scandal and burning sun mess. However like mentioned in article if said boss and accused actor don’t respond in time this will just get worse and worse hence more and more rumors will continue. They need to step up. The reputation will get worse and worse hence projects and such being canceled and postponed. Will these actors leave or can they afford to it all depends on the boss and company’s response to all this.

      • @Rero
        I'm completely disagree with you.
First, you're talking about company as if this is one big organism. There are a lot of different proffessions. Not everyone involved in company's bosses secrets.
Second, all Gold Medalist actors are 20s rookie actors, some of them younger than KSR, some of them filmed in 1-2 drama as support cast for their whole career. Do you expect celebrities would share their secrets with any rookie actor they just met?
Third, how much do you know about boss of your job? Can you say confidently they didn't made any crime for his life? And if they did, would you want to share responsibility for his actions, and consequences as well?

And fourth, who exactly shady when? Can you name one person who, by your opinion, knew about KSH? Not just say "industry" or "company", but name concrete person who knew.
If you're saying such big things about people should face consequences for KSH crimes, you need to say who exactly, not just point finger at everyone.
The things you're saying called a collective responsibility, and collective responsibility is a very stupid thing, by my opinion, when people can't say who exactly at fault and who knew nothing, they just pointing fingers and blaming everyone.

      • @Olesya1, I agree with your points regarding generalizing one scandal too much to everyone else having connections with the possible defender of misconducts (KSH in this case). To accuse the entire agency of shady business practices that may involve the entertainers managed by the agency, is kinda a stretch, speculations at best and malice maybe. Not sure if you're familiar with Chinese culture. In Chinese culture and political system, this is called collective punishment (連坐,誅九族).

      • @Somebody
I don't know much about Chinese culture, but I familiar with collective responsibility.
And I know example from korean entertainment when many artists of one agency got hate train due to that "collective punishment". I watched it in live, it was very stupid. People who approving collective responsibility are hypocrites (they themselves wouldn't want to share consequences for someone's else crimes) and trolls who just hungry to hate and cancel anyone

      • I never stated all actors are guilty and they are not the staff running the actual company. Those behind the scenes running business for said actors would be who I am referring to. And no I don’t know specifics and I honestly feel Kim soo hyun should not be the only one explaining mainly for all of the mess but whoever truly runs the actual Gold Medalist company. Either way the reputation of said actors will be impacted because of said bosses. Is it fair no but that is how things usually happen when scandals like this happen. It won’t end them though many have overcame far worse. Also when I say shady I am not saying guilty. I meant suspicious and sketchy. No one is being punished by law yet so we won’t know until we see how things unfold. You are a bit extreme in interpreting what I said. Who am I to determine what is true or not that will all depend on whether law suits and negotiations between those involved in all of this settle things. We just have to wait and watch how it unfolds.

  • Lol @ family is trash, like you also know them. Im not defending them but you also need to be a mother and have a 14/15 yr old rebel and secretive daughter because she is being groomed by a top actor secretly.

Trash family? Who knows if this is his doint. Real director was also lambasted in media and he even said he had trauma and now its the same tactic that theyre using.

Saeron was released from his grooming, she’s already 21. After that, her life has gone down spiralling, and her family might not be perfect but you might not know how much they tried but its all hard now because the grooming victim has been wrecked mentally and emotionally.

But family is still family, imagine the hardship they are going through now that they can’t even get a simple apology from the real TRASH.

If you call the family Trash then the pedopile should be called 3x worsr than beimg trash

  • Just because a person has a sh!tty family doesn’t excuse a predator. Perhaps these actresses would have made better choices if they had had better families, that goes without saying. My observation from studying K-ent for over a decade, is that solid, loving, close-knit families give entertainers an extra layer of resilience to go through the bad times without being destroyed by such a cesspool environment. That being said, predators like KSH should be exposed if they have done things untoward or unseemly. And these families have a RIGHT and even a responsibility to ask what went wrong. It’s human nature to retrace one’s steps after a tragedy in a bid to find closure.

After these conjectures and accusations on these actresses’ families, the fact remains that both actresses were exposed to very negative publicity after their dealings with him and his agency. No amount of casting blame on families is going to excuse or exonerate him from that. There are some people who elevate others by their associations with them, and others who bring people down. I’m not going into specifics, but these are not the only 2 actresses publicly shredded after association with his label and agency. It’s just that more and more people feel freer to speak up now about things they were forced to remain silent about for years, because that individual and his agency had so much clout in the industry. So in the process of exonerating your beloved actor, please refrain from mudslinging the victims’ families. Whether it’s warranted or not.

    • No one exonerating KSH here, where did you even read that.
There are a lot of news and rumors about parents in entertainment industry around the world who couldn't or didn't want to protect their kids from predators. If you're making money by making your kid work since young age, protect them is the least you can do.
Even KSR parents said they found out about her being groomed, yet they let it go and let her work in his agency because "Kim Soo Hyun promised to marry on her".
I'm not sure if this is right thing to criticise KSR parents, as they mourning their daughter (although her mother definitely deserves criticism for posting a letter KSR wrote to Moonbin. If she wanted, she could send this letter directly to Moonbin's family, not posting that on internet when Kim Sae Ron didn't post it herself, so Moonbin's mother asked people to stop speculating and gossiping about her son. Yeah, I can't help but criticising KSR parents for some things).
Maybe criticise parents of deceased isn't a right thing to do, but parents of all kids working in industry need to understand something already. Something need to change, it's not like strangers worrying for your kid's safety more than you do is a normal thing.

      • Well, despite my criticism they still spoke about it and exposed at least one person from this industry.

      • @Olesya1, I can't disagree with you more. As a parent, it's just hard for me to empathize with KSR's parents. Do I sympathize with them? Yes cuz of their huge loss forever. Do I approve of them if the grooming is true? 100% NOPE! They were irresponsible as legal guardians of a minor if all the dating and grooming rumors were real. The parents have their shares of contribution to KSR's death, just like netizens who bullied KSR. At this point, many drama fans still don't realize they themselves are not more righteous than KSH and his agency to point fingers. LOL but very sad.

At this stage, I'm still seeing he said she said more than "evidence." Therefore, my position to be on the fence waiting for more credible evidence unfold is not changed.

    • Very true. I am so tired of reading twisted essays trying to give this pedophile an out. This conversation should be about a predator who likely has multiple victims.

Saeron's parents didn't take his money and are continuing to expose him. Given KSH's influence, it must not be easy. More power to them. I wonder how many people commenting otherwise would be brave enough in a similar situation.

      • @hellomel
Please. I don't want harshly criticise KSR parents because of their loss, but you're asking if people would be brave enough to defend their kids from predator, as if answer you're expecting is "no".
I have thoughts about it, but I don't want arrogantly talk what I would or wouldn't do if I was on their place.
And I repeat, no one's here trying to give pedophile an out.
        Point me such comment.

  • Back when Real was making headlines for its production and explicit scenes, I was wondering about what kind of a director would make such a movie, so I checked him out and I thought he looked sleazy.

The BTS of the movie is really something to behold. Technically, Lee Robe (the co-founder of Gold Medallist) was not the director in the first place, it was another person who also penned the script. However, according to the official reports, investors were not satisfied with the finished product so they requested another director to reshoot scenes (*hint* *hint*), Lee Robe who was the film's executive producer tried to find other directors but in the end, he was unsuccessful so he decided to fill out the role instead.

It's funny because way before the allegations concerning Kim Soohyun and Kim Saeron's relationship came to light, a film YouTuber described Real as an ego trip for Kim Soohyun, and compared it unfavorably to The Idol with the Weeknd.
