Sometimes one has to be willing to make a mea culpa and just admit that, quite frankly, the expectation and adoration may simply be a wasted effort. Reading the written preview for episode 15 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!), I actually thought my plane landed in a twilight zone of horrible asinine drama plots. Episode 15 sounds like nothing I thought could possibly happen – in fact, it sounds like shit no drama writer should ever make happen. Ever. I reserve the right to change my mind and love the plot after I watch it. But reading the preview exacerbates the pulsing headache I already have. Eh, back to my vacation.
Written Preview for Episode 15:
Mu Gyul saw Mae Ri with Jung In, when she has promised that she would be waiting for him. Mu Gyul feels very conflicted. He doesn’t know anymore if Mae Ri really likes him. Mu Gyul cannot understand. Because of Mae Ri, he sold himself to making mainstream music that is not his style, turning himself into a different person overnight. So why did Mae Ri spend a happy occasion with Jung In?
As much as Mae Ri tries to explain to Mu Gyul that she went to see Jung In only to ask for a divorce, he doesn’t believe her. She is feeling very hurt.
Jung In wants to let Mae Ri know his real feelings for her, so he uses the JI work shop as an opportunity to get closer to her. At the JI work shop, Mae Ri is getting uncomfortable with everyone always trying to get her and Jung In together. Seo Jun tells Mae Ri to stop staying between Mu Gyul and Jung In, causing them to so confused.
Mae Ri, who has clarified the relationships, feels heartbroken. She goes to the mountains by herself, making a decision to not bring Mu Gyul anymore unhappiness. She wants to return to the time when she didn’t love Mu Gyul.
Jung In sees this, and realizes that he cannot in reality get closer to Mae Ri. He decides that everything must be returned to the way it was. On the way home, it’s gotten darker, and the two of them get lost.
Mu Gyul knows that they are still in the mountains together and has not come back. He decides to go to the JI work shop. Jung In, who is walking down the mountain with Mae Ri, sees her take on misstep and grabs her, tumbling down the hillside together….
My Rants:
WTF!?! I know I joked about the plot going all haywire with kidnappings and injuries, but no need to take it to a whole nother level of crazy, drama writer? There is silly but cute, and then there is ridiculous and moronic. I would put what I read above into the latter category, with a very tiny caveat that if it turns out to be part of a grand scheme that works out all the kinks in the end, then I will grudgingly accept it. M3 – god how I love you. Why’d you have to make me want to spank you like a naughty child? I want some Christmas BOATING! Instead you give me brain-dead angst. Never have I been gladder to miss the finale of a drama I love, because I can watch 15 and 16 together, and spare myself the agony.

The more I read your thoughts on the drama (the paragraph you didn't put under cut), the more I'm afraid to watch it past ep 10. We are having the same thoughts.. I watched up to ep 10. But as I watch clips of kidnapping and whatnot, I am weary to continue (and probably never will)

Thank the heavens you took time out of your vacation to write this cause I was crying by myself. I posted on SOFTY's page about the ending that JGS wanted for his character. You know that DC Inside has a lot of info and I know the ending. You are probably better at acceptance than I because I can't stop crying and all kinds of dirty words are forming in my head.

You are not alone! I went through the stages of denial, anger, then bargaining last night. Now I'm at the depression stage. Hopefully acceptance is just around the corner.
I'm at the acceptance level already. I can't wait to see ep 15 and see if the writer would really butcher the characters and sabotage my OTP that way. Hopefully the actual episode wouldn't be as bad as we imagined it to be. As long as MG and MR got their happy ending together, I can put up with anything... *hauling stones to throw, just in case...*

the only small consolation are the nice OSTs from M3.
that is soooooooooooooo anoying. i mean,the second to the last episode should bring happiness to the viewers. there are lots of troubles on the episodes before,and everything bad drove me crazy. AGH... asian dramas are really O.A.

I had already mentioned that M3 ending will be hard to guess. I think new writer is trying the best to make us more interest to M3. But we are expecting to see some cutey moments of MG&MI as drama getting close to final episode.
