Written Preview for Drunken to Love You Episode 12

Why wait when it’s such a runaway choice at this point. Song Jie Xiu is hands down the male lead of the year in any drama I’ve watched. Even if I didn’t watch that drama, I’ll gladly bet that Jie Xiu will PWN that male lead, too. From whose fertile mind did he come from? Why is he this awesome? Why is Xiao Ru not rolling around on the ground pinching herself that this perfect man loves her and only her? Episode 11 of Drunken to Love You was a bit of a slow going, but episode 12 looks to be fun, fabulous, and OMG more Jie Xiu love.

P.S. Taiwan media is abuzz with gossip that apparently Joseph Chang and his long-time girlfriend have broken up. Poor Rainie Yang is getting hounded and she has openly stated to the media that she is not the Xiao San (Little Three – TW lingo for third party) in anything that is going on in Joseph’s personal life. Joseph has not confirmed or denied the breakup.

Written preview for cup 12 of DTLY:

Just like Jie Xiu predicted, the impetuous Samantha does in fact cause trouble at the club, ruining the club owner’s money-making endeavor. The owner gets his minions and is ready to confront Samantha, who has no choice but to ask Jie Xiu to step forward and solve the crisis. Except Jie Xiu is thoroughly disappointed in his mother and wants to leave.

Xiao Ru does not agree with Jie Xiu’s attitude and starts arguing with him. Every word Xiao Ru says expresses her pain of losing her mom when she was young. Just when Jie Xiu is willing to step forward solely because of Xiao Ru and get on the stage to resolve the crisis caused by Samantha, suddenly the cops show up and everyone gets dragged to the police station.

The crisis-filled night is finally over and Samantha’s good impression of Xiao Ru only increases. Conversely, Avril’s selfishness causes Samantha to make a decision, understanding who the partner should be to accompany Jie Xiu for the rest of his life.

Xiao Ru goes back to the restaurant in the middle of the night to look for her missing wedding ring. She runs into Daniel, who keeps making pointed hints to Xiao Ru about their shared part. Sadly Xiao Ru does not realize that her best friend from childhood is standing before her, and she also remembers his name incorrectly. Daniel is thoroughly disappointed by her and decides to torment Xiao Ru.

Xiao Ru, Jie Xiu, and the gang, why did they get dragged to the police station? Can they extricate themselves from the situation? Avril has been tagged out, so what will she do? Daniel wants Xiao Ru to remember him and their past together, so what tactics will he use on Xiao Ru? Facing Daniel who harbors ill-intent towards Xiao Ru, can Jie Xiu protect the woman he loves and not let her be hurt again…….

  • So, so happy to see that our OTP is surviving the obstacles on their road to blissfulness. Joseph Chang (Jie Xiu) was a perfect choice for this role 'cause
he's so manly and ruggedly handsome. He can be my nan pényou anytime.

  • Jie Xiu is love, there's no other definition for him. He's been a wonderful male lead from the start, always looking out for Xiao Ru. ♥ That girl is thinking too much, imho.

  • JX is wonderful and I'm glad that Samantha will see the XR love-light (not that her opinion really matters to JX). Daniel is a bit of a mess but I'm sure she'll be glad he's back around once all is revealed. The best thing about his presence to me has to be he'll only bring our couple closer together(in the end)!
As for Joseph and Rainie, nothing surprises me anymore but Rainie is pretty straightforward so I'm sure she has nothing to do with his breakup(if there is one) regardless of whether they are interested in one another or not.

  • The drama has been pretty slow with all the new characters. Since most of the admirations stems from Rainie and Jo's chemistry so it's not a surprise that the story is a major lacking device. I'm very disappointed in Xiao Gui's presence. I wish they just have one second lead male that would be there for the entire series and not have so many characters. It would have been better if he appeared earlier as her love interest. His presence would have been more important.

I love R and J onscreen and I can just see them as friends outside. Off camera, they seem more like good buddies more than potential lovers. When we watch dramas, we always want the leads to get together in real but reality is they are just acting.

    • I believe this is the second time Rainie and Joseph worked together in a drama. Rainie seems to be always playful and jokes around a lot with her co-stars. When I first heard and saw "Daniel" played by Xiao Gui (or "Alien" being his eng. name LOL.) in this drama, I was like no friggin way! Since he and Rainie actually dated before when they were in school. Lol.

  • Aww JX keep fighting for your girl man!I think in ep 12 JX will tell Avril just how important XR to her not just temporary lust.that would settle and hope last 2ep they will give much JX&XR lovey dovey time, makes babies all the time.hehe.

  • I got pretty irritated with all the exaggerations (temple lady) and the first appearance of Samantha and all her affected mannerisms. Plus Daniel with all his hair (tone it down please) is not sitting down well with me too.

But thankfully, last episode (11) was a whole lot better than ep 10.

    >> Song Jie Xiu is hands down the male lead of the year in any drama I’ve watched

I think I can safely say Joseph Chang playing Song Jie Xiu will with all his easy down to earth naturalness wins hands down any male T-actor this yr for me. Lookswise, he loses out to Ethan, Mike or whoever but he's just so boy next door natural (plus sexy and dorky at time) ... it's just so comfortable watching him.

  • I adore JX! He is decisive and not a pushover. XR - needs to let go of her hang-ups already. She is NOT stealing anyone's anything - in this case JX - when he himself I'd doing the turning and walking away. She need to realize that unlike an inanimate object which she can steal or snatch away - JX is a living, breathing, hot- blooded man who has shown maturity and knows what he needs and wants!

So - XR - chill and gonwith the flow!

  • Jie Xu is every woman's dream guy, well at least mine!! LOL

UFO stil doesnt get it? She doesnt remember you! Why? Because YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT!! Geeezz!! I have to scream!! Seriously? So anoying!!

Avril, still lingin, her one-sided-unrequited "love" Lady, if I can call you that... hmph, I dont think so, hey you bad actress!! LOL, HE IS NOT THAT IN TO YOU!! Get it!!! Move one, lady *coughs* bad actress, move on!!!

      • hahaha so you're here angelito... u miss you and your witty remarks and song references... am glad i caught you... muwahhhhhh

      • mizweng, i think koala is the ultimate drama pusher, i'm stuck with DTLY too after i read her recaps. and after LTM, this is my next addiction. and to see LTM hardcore fans here double the fun. Angelito, keep those witty remarks coming!

      • @ mizweng

Yeah, DTLY is the thing that keep me sane, you now after the all LTM madness, camping meetings, marching songs, and all homicidal tendencies that Reaper make me have!!! LOL

  • *in response to your opening questions*
    WHY, WHY, WHY... indeed.

Man, Jie Xiu is an absolutely perfect man and has raised my standards all the way up to here. *puts hand above head*

This is the first time ever that I'm following a TW drama live and it's been a love/hate experience for me. I love the show and sharing the excitement as well as spazzing with fellow fans but I hate the one episode per week and the wait for Sunday seems sooo long.
