Wannabe rapper So Ji Sub say whut? I can’t decide if this is a good or a bad thing, probably a little bit of both. What’s undeniable is that it’s a reality and not just a figment of So Ji Sub’s musical aspirations. For a guy who has gotten accolades for being an actor, So Ji Sub is trying way too hard to destroy his credibility and reverse engineer himself into a music idol. Forget it being a bad idea, he’s about 10 years too old to try rapping his way into the hearts of the club kids. Sadly his agent is either himself or an enabler because after releasing some rap singles back in 2011, So Ji Sub is back to ring in 2013 by releasing a mini album of 5 new rap songs to show “his true self”. *headdesk* Aside from hurting our ears some more, if we watch the MVs on mute it will be the treatiest of treats because So Ji Sub got his min-me Yoo Seung Ho and awesome MV leading lady Park Shin Hye to co-star with him in it! Okay, I’m so in with that its not even funny. It’s like So Ji Sub shoots me in the foot first and then gives me a Cartier diamond ring.
The MV has So Ji Sub playing a 30-something guy, while Yoo Seung Ho is his 20-something self, and Park Shin Hye plays a top star who the male lead has loved going on a decade of his life. In the MV, Park Shin Hye edges further into her adult image by having a very sexy grinding dance. Please god let it be with Yoo Seung Ho’s version of the male lead, because I’m not ready to see her grinding on oppa So Ji Sub. Apparently both Yoo Seung Ho and Park Shin Hye dropped everything and came rushing over the second So Ji Sub called them on this. This will mark the 3rd collaboration between So Ji Sub and Yoo Seung Ho, they did an MV back in 2008 (where Yoo Seung Ho also played the younger version of So Ji Sub) as well as a series of refrigerator CFs. Park Shin Hye expressed unbridled excitement for this chance to work with her two favorite male actors despite being busy filming Flower Boy Next Door. This MV will be released at the end of January as a 12-minute mini-movie as well as cut into 2 separate singles.
So Ji Sub already tried rapping once when he released “Pick Up Line” back in 2011. It was…..unwatchable. Utterly cringe-inducing. The pictures below belie my opinion. If you are morbidly curious, check out the MV for the “rap” ditty. I’m praying to god these new MVs with Yoo Seung Ho and Park Shin Hye are classier. Or at least less mockworthy.

Park Shin Hye is seriously lucky! She gets to act with all the HOTTIE!!! kekekee...as for So Ji Sub's rapping...definitely muting the video when it's release and will only be watching for Shin Hye and Seung Ho!

Hahahaha!! Wow, and this isn't ironic either. I love it. This dude is a total dweeb! He's hot and lame at the same time. I have a weak spot for that kind of guy in real life, and its gotten me where I am now...single. Yeah, this type of dude is usually a total butthole that won't listen to reason and just does anything that he deems to be a good idea.
Meanwhile, did a post-humous Michael Jackson make a cameo in his video? That was the only part that genuinely scared me. It was all laughter until that guy showed up and then things got serious... I couldn't find the pause button fast enough.

This just confirms what we all said when we heard about the casting for Flower Boy(s) Next Door: PSH must have saved multiple civilizations ancestors to Doctors withour Boarders volunteers in a previous life. She is beautiful, talented, funny, and she gets to be in stuff with some of the most beautiful men on the planet who seem to think she is beautiful, talented, and funny. She seems to be on shows that have the best ofscreen chemistry and bonding, which I am assuming has something to do with her personality.
I will be waiting for the drama (no melo please!) with her and YSH in two years when he is finished with his military service. Dramagods, make this happen!
