Written and Video Previews for Episode 16 of King Flower

Nearly all TW-dramas make me less invested as it goes on. I can name so many that started off good or great only to peter out by the end, making me care less about the dragged out process of what is essentially courtship leading to marriage between two people. But King Flower is a rarity in that I’ve gotten more and more invested as the drama goes on. I think my faith is about to be rewarded. There are confirmed indications of a Terry-Da Hua ship sailing! King Flowers, episode 16 is going to be DA BOMB. Based on the video and written previews, I think the game changer we have all been waiting for has finally come. I just hope to god this isn’t some feint and then back to the snoozeworthy relationship of Da Hua and Guan Jun. Last week’s preview for episode 16 already showed Terry going for the kiss and confession, but now the additional two video previews show us tons more goodness. He actually says I love you! Swooning forever here.

The even better part is Da Hua’s behavior from the moment she learns the pretense is all over and she’s going home. She looks like someone walking to her execution, and afterwards she’s all mopey and Terry this and Terry that. Even Guan Jun notices, the continuing evolution of his character from lout to perceptive sweetheart. Turns out James Wen’s new baby girl arrived two weeks ago (congrats man!) and he’s over the moon about his “little sunny day” as he calls her. I hope he effectively bows out of this love triangle and let SETTV write away at the Da Hua-Terry sweetness. I know my knees will buckle when I watch the rain kiss, but it’s the final line of the written preview that raises me hopes sky high – after Da Hua packs up and goes home, somehow her precious Grey Bear is left behind in her room. Omo omo omo, please tell me she did it on purpose, because dang it that would redeem all her cluelessness from before and I’m back to loving her again. I am seriously on pins and needles until Sunday arrives.

Written preview for episode 16:

Ouyang Tai tells President Du the truth and now Da Hua can finally complete her mission and go home. But when the real moment of separation arrives, neither of them can bear to let go of each other. Tenderly taking care of Da Hua, seeing her guileless smile every day, it seems that has become an indispensible part of Terry’s life. As if he’s afraid of losing his connection with Da Hua, Ouyang Tai strides forward and gives her a passionate kiss and tells her his feelings for her. But does he love Da Hua or Liang Yen? And can Da Hua accept this sudden and unexpected confession?

Da Hua has returned home and can finally live as herself. But its not as happy as she thought it would be, and instead she feels like something is missing and is dejected. Her heart worries about Terry, what will happen to him? How can she help Terry? Guan Jun sees this and he’s jealous and hurt. Da Hua may have come back in person, but the way he and Da Hua used to joke around and bicker happily, will that life be able to come back?

Ouyang Tai returns home and faces an empty huge house, making him seem even more lonely now that he’s lost Da Hua. He walks into Da Hua’s room and stares at Liang Yen’s picture, thinking about the two girls who have successively left him. He unexpectedly discovers Da Hua’s precious treasured Grey Bear! How did Grey Bear get left behind at Terry’s house? What kind of closer bridge between Terry and Da Hua will Grey Bear be able to build?

Previews for episode 16:

“This time you can really go home”

Terry: Da Hua, from now on we don’t need to act anymore. This time you can really go home.

Da Hua: Terry, please take care. You have to take good care of yourself.

Terry: Da Hua! I love you.

“Go back to being the Jin Da Hua that everyone is familiar with”

Terry: Right now my heart is filled with only remorse. Please let me resign.

Guan Jun: Stupid ball, it’s raining so hard why didn’t you tell me to go pick you up!

Da Hua: Mom….. From now on I don’t need to go back to Terry’s anymore. I can go back to being the Jin Da Hua everyone is familiar with.

Guan Jun: And this is the reason why I like you.

    • I love him more and more and more and more with each episode. Seriously one of my favorite leading men in TW-dramas ever. So my hurt wounded woobie with a heart of deep love and goodness.

  • Just wanted to congratulate James Wen on his baby girl! Hope she is healthy and brings him lots of joy in the future.

I just wanted to post a comment wherein personal life and professional life isn't mixed up. He might suck as Guan Jun, but really - having a baby doesn't mean people can use it as an excuse to politely but essentially tell him to f-off from the show where he's the lead.

Guan Jun isn't a fan favorite, and since this is a blog it's all good to voice out opinions. But I also felt the need to voice out mine - and it is even if JW is not my someone I like, I do like GJ. And I hope he doesn't leave this show and stays till the end, because main leads usually do. Whether they get the girl or not :)

  • OMG....I am delirious with joy. The Show is going exactly where I want it to go. I was thinking.. I would like to see DH pining for Terry for a change and it's going to happen.
I am so happy for Terry and Chris Wu.

    • Yesyesyes, my feelings exactly! I need Da Hua to FEEL what it's like to not have Terry around. She's so dim she needs a big shove in the direction of pining and longing. Show, please don't let me down now. You can do it~!

  • I am glad they are asking the question ...Does Terry love DH or LY? I have no doubt in my mind but I think it should be addressed instead of ignoring it.

    • I can't believe Terry (Chris) has done such an incredibly restrained but wholly believable performance of making me feel and accept that he's actually grown to love Da Hua. Without a hint of lingering Liang Yen missing in there. He misses Liang Yen, yes, still and probably forever. He will always love her, but it doesn't preclude him also falling for Da Hua. It's like Terry has just that much depth in his capacity to love both.

  • First of all, thank you for posting these lovely clips and previews!

Watching the kiss video over and over again *blushes*... And waiting for "Big Flower" to close her eyes and enjoy the kiss! Chris Wu is portraying his character so well, and he has been getting more and more air time and attention as the second lead. Love it.

Go Terrrrrrry! <3 is it Sunday yet.......

    • I've lost count how many times I've re-watched the preview. This is my expression every time *___* I seriously see stars exploding and wondering why Da Hua hasn't swooned yet. Because, baby I would have swooned already in his arms.

  • Damn you! I don't know whether to hate you or love you for getting me into this drama. Ohhh, the pain!

      • lmao... you are my certified enable when it comes to C and T dramas and i can't say anything more than THANK YOU!

  • OoH~ cant the eng subs come out any sooner!!! My heart is dying in anticipation. Watching that kiss preview was like a hand squeezing my heart! Oh terry, how you make me swoon with your smexy jawline! :)

On another note, in whether if its LY or DH terry likes/longs for, i think that since LY and DH personalities are totally different, terry falling I love with DH makes sense. She may have the face but the personalities are totally different. terry does a good job recognizing this and addressing her by DH and not LY.
