Written and Video Preview for Episode 13 of Marry Him if You Dare

The totally unexpected late arrival of two awesome episodes of Heirs/The Inheritors this week gives me hope that Marry Him If You Dare can get its act together for the final 4-episodes. It can’t be that hard to just explain things simply and let the four leads having some romancing (finally!) and then ship future Mi Rae back to either the future or the afterlife. At this point I don’t care, because last week’s episodes prove to us that she is just as at fault for all the litany of woes she earlier blamed on Shin. She’s such a piece of work, and I don’t know how present Mi Rae ever became this woman 25 years down the line. KBS released some new stills of Mi Rae’s wedding to Shin in the original time line, and the stills are of Mi Rae and Oppa. They are cute together and definitely rocking the sibling vibe. What irks me to see this stills is the reminder of how great this drama could have been. Mi Rae in a wedding dress was one of the first scenes of the drama, when she married Shin, and we were all excited to see how they fell in love before, how they will fall in love again, and what big bad thing that happened in the future needs them to band together and solve. Instead all we got are future Mi Rae chewing up the screen and all the time spent for romance instead spent on angst before the romance. I’ll only accept the pain if you give me sweetness in advance. The previews are out for episode 13 and I’m seriously sticking my hope back into Pandora’s Box. At this point the drama will need to throw in the sexiest Yoon Eun HyeLee Dong Gun making out scene in the history of K-dramas to get me to forgive it for the complete lack of romantic development so far.

Written preview for episode 13:

What is the reason? To make me lead news anchor again?

Se Joo’s re-appearance as a Director of YBS leaves the Pandora’s Box team shocked. But after revealing his identity, Se Joo doesn’t change the way he interactions with Mi Rae and thanks her for her friendship. On the other hand, Mi Rae and Kim Shin’s relationship chills and they resume being co-workers only. Kim Shin hears Se Joo’s proposal to make him the news anchor for the 9 pm news and his pride is hurt to hear Se Joo refer to him as a prized asset of YBS.

Preview for episode 13:

Everyone is shocked at Se Joo’s real identity. He tells Mi Rae that after she rejected him, he’s back on track and wants to turn YBS into a great network. The Pandora’s Box team thinks Shin is acting weird and maybe hiding a girlfriend. They hear a woman’s voice on his phone. Mi Rae and Shin run into each other at the coffee bar. Future Mi Rae asks Mi Rae how Shin is doing and Mi Rae says Shin has nothing to do with her anymore and they are just co-workers. Yoo Kyung asks if Shin is going to MTN, wouldn’t that be what future Mi Rae predicted? Shin says no, its different now because Mi Rae is not by his side anymore. The team has a crisis regarding who can write a script.

  • I can forgive the writer if she could improve the romance 100% and make the most beautiful kiss scene ever in k dramas , this is not impossible because yoon eun hye is this drama .Dear writer , you have 4 episodes more you can make this drama awesome or a complete disaster . I don't wanna lose the hope.

  • OMG!!! Things need to have a serious turnaround in the next four episodes or this writer and I will have words!!!!

UGH so much could have and should have happened in this series...the potential was great and this drama did not even reach half of that....

Oh well i will go down with this drama!!

  • Is this even a rom com anymore? I don't see any romance and i'm not even talking about kisses. This writer needs to never write anything without her sister. I can't believe that's half of the writing duo of K2H. *smh*

    • Maybe she was in charge of typing the words and the other sister was the brains behind the writing in TK2H.

  • I expected a lot from this drama, especially because of the awesome trailer and I was hoping to see lots of lovey dovey scenes. Unfortunately, the boat has sailed in a direction in which I don't see any romance, I hope the wind/writers will push it to the right direction.

Unlike, The Heirs which has exceeded my expectations and has been thoroughly enjoyable.

I don't know what I am expecting any more, but I hope this drama does its best in the remaining 4 episodes.

    • Although this drama leaves a lot to be desired in terms of writing/plot, I'd still take this anytime of the day over Heirs. Characterization-wise and acting-wise, MHIYD is spot on.

  • last four episodes remaining and things are beginning to get sour for Mirae. Personally, I don't like Shin for Mirae, I like Seju better. Not because he is a chaebol but because of what he has done for Mirae to make her feel special... but the girl doesn't see all that. aaaaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!

  • I'm going to go against the grain - I still really like this drama. It's not exactly what I though it was going to be, and I think that this weeks episodes could have happened earlier and they dropped the ball with the 2nd time traveller but...It sure beats 10 episodes of people longingly gazing at each other and dragging each other around by the wrist and moving at a glacial pace. Heirs - I'm looking at you.

    • MTE! The good thing about Marry Him If You Dare is the dynamism of its characters and the spot-on portrayal of the actors of these characters. The writing obviously leaves a lot to be desired, but I just can't drop it because I have become so attached with the characters.

      • I agree this drama is a lot better in terms of characterisation and acting, however, i cant deny how fun it is to watch Heirs. Nonetheless, MHIYD is still watchable/lovable (Just gives frustration at times).

  • I can totally see FMR now deciding she's not too happy with letting Shin go. It would just be the type of annoying thing she'd do.

I do also still like this drama, it's just not what I expected/hoped for when I saw LDG and YEH being cast and supposed return to YEH doing a romcom.

  • I think the writer have tried very hard but it's quite just confusing indeed, especially for its consistency. If the genre means to be romance-centered, I agree that it's lacking romance but if the writer suppose to make it more into drama-centered where Mirae's career is exposed in large portion, I think it should be more clear, the poster clearly show that it's a romance type and the title "Marry Him If You Dare" is also so romance type. The Mirae Ajuhmma is also too annoying, yes typical annoying-old-woman :D. However.....actually, I like the concept about not really focus in romance. The writers show different type of problems in the series, it is likely more into the broadcasting scenes which I found very cool. My heart race fast during the station terror scene, horror house case and the fake liquor case as well. I think the problems raised in these series are very cool and refreshing. I've seen enough romance in korean drama, with general type of kissing scene, hug and all. I dont wish to see much more, I already know how YEH and LDG do romance, so being able to watch them in different portrayal are so enjoyable for me. So, I dont wish to much mainstream romance but I wish them happy ending. Maybe, the title The Future Choice is much more suitable to represent the series, about how a girl in her 30s began to pursue dream, to set up a proper career and to manage a family life.

    • So agree with you. You mentioned those scenes,Hahaha! I was beginning to think this is suspense-thriller spin-off since as rom-com its doesnt appeal so much; though still I dont understand and that low rating is so arguable. Anyway, agree, loving it, good to see different side of these actors. Maybe its about time Yoon Eun Hye also conquers another drama genre as, 'Suspense or Thriller Queen', not bad at all!

      • drama action could be a good idea too , something like city hunter. To sell this drama to another countries kbs will have to chance from rom com to thriller melodrama whatever but rom com anymore because this drama is not about romance , is not comedy either.
