Breezy romance K-movie Today’s Love released its first teaser stills today for a sneak peek at the reunion onscreen romance between Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won. They both shot to drama land stardom (along with Han Hyo Joo) in the unexpected hit weekend drama Shining Inheritance/Brilliant Legacy, one of those addicting yarns that doesn’t sound interesting until one actually watches it. I actually loved the high school era backstory between Lee Seung Gi and Moon Chae Won’s characters despite the fact that later on he falls for her step-sister.
Today’s Love will be Lee Seung Gi’s first movie whereas Moon Chae Won’s last K-movie was the massive box office hit War of the Arrows (Bow: The Ultimate Weapon). This synopsis actually sounds more drama-suited and doesn’t seem terribly high brow: Lee Seung Gi plays a beta-male hapless-in-romance school teacher who gives too much in all his relationships only to get dumped while Moon Chae Won is the sassy and sharp-tongued weather reporter still looking for love in all the wrong places.
I know the piggyback ride in Korean entertainment is as standard as a handshake these days but these two look so darn cute doing it I can’t help but want more of the same trite stuff. Lee Seung Gi will have some tough competition in the movie for Moon Chae Won’s heart opposite hyung Lee Seo Jin and flower boy rival Jung Joon Young. The movie premieres in Spring of 2015 and hopefully ends up being an easy and sweet watch.

They really are ridiculously cute together. Their chemistry has always been great and they know each other well and are much better actors than they were in BL, so I'm expecting good things. Should be light and fun. And yess I always shipped/liked Seung-mi and Hwan before she went wacko crazy.

Thank you for the links. For a minute, I wondered if KBS2 were part of the production team for the movie, (or some kind of sponsor), hence the logo. That was why I asked.

LSG and MCW are both actors who have good chemistry with almost anyone. And MCW is one of my top two faves among the actresses of her generation. She usually chooses good projects too.
