I know Jang Geun Seok has his devoted fans who love the boy whatever he chooses to wear/do/say, but I for one wish that he would soon get tired of this phase he’s been in for the last five years or so and start building back up his serious actor resume. It’s been a rocky last few months for him, what with the tax evasion scandal (he’s since paid all the owed back taxes) followed by getting cut out of the variety program Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village. I thought that was shitty of the production and he’s filmed scenes should have been shown followed by a graciously timed exit, but what do I know about the standards needed to meet K-viewer demands. He’s doing just fine and is launching a new Japanese album followed by yet another Asian tour, sticking with the music side of his career for the time being. He was spotted leaving Korea earlier this week headed for Japan, giving me yet another glimpse of his wacky sartorial style that shows no sign of abating. Le sigh.

Well, at least he lost the long, shiny, better-than-most-female-idols locks, the guyliner, and the Severus Snape/goth-like style.
He should keep it simple though - Beethoven Virus era. Though that shiny hair still makes me envious and it would be a shame to be chopped off. Maybe he's letting it all out before he enlists next year?

He really is such a great actor, I wish he'd get back to that if possible. I think the Japanese fans love his music persona though.
Why does anyone think they should have a say in what one chooses to wear? He's a public figure so naturally he's opened himself to criticism and everyone has the right to comment on his style, but from this to saying he *should* or *shouldn't* dress like this or that or writing mean remarks, seriously? He's not obliged to please anyone. This entitlement over his style has went on for ages now and I don't understand how his choice of clothes irks so many people as if it's such a big deal the guy likes a more unconventional look. I go WTF at some of his outfits too but at the end of the day it's not my business. Life is too short to wear whatever other people think it's appropriate for you.
I mean the only thing different is the SL coat...he's basically wearing a tshirt and jeans. It's more that he didn't dress up
He should produced his own web-drama and air it on his youtube channel. If he can't work in drama anymore. This boy got so much talent and it such a waste that other people hate on him
Actually he did something better than web drama, he did produced and wrote his very own special short film CAMP. The premiere for it was held just 3 days ago March 12 in Tokyo with 800 fans. And it is now available since March 14 in DVD for fans who are interested about his work. There was also Budapest Diary, another short film that was released years ago 2010.
Poor boy. Korea doesn't know what they miss. He's one of the young talented actor. I hope he'll back on the screen soon.
I get weirded/grossed out by his outfit all the time but i really dont care about his lifestyle to put muc effort in stating what he should and should not do.
What bothers me about him is the downward spiral of his acting career. I dont know if its him or any advisers he has, but man he has some serious problems in drama picks and career choices. i feel like he is living a world where he picks characters that is tailor cut pretty boy With not much substance. i feel like being called prince of asia and pretty boy went into his head. and so he does not want to part with those imageand always want to be pretty boy and be always the one desired.
that just irritates and frustrates me cause I know he has acting range and prowess. Its not like he is not offered other projects, as far as i know he was offered JCWs role for empress ki bit he turned it down... man what is his deal with hia acting career?
Maybe hia actibg talents got depleted by his bigger than life personality and lifestyle. Whatever js the case he certainly is someone who is popular in japan but have a negative image and not ao popular in korea...
as for me, hope someone shakes the daylights out of him and pick better projects and acts hia heart, soul and mind out like in hwang jini and beethoven virus...
