Suzy in an Unexpected Pairing with Taiwanese Superstar Show Luo in Cute Coffee CF

Suzy is everywhere these days and now her presence is being felt down South in Taiwan with a brand new high profile ad campaign. Suzy is paired up with Taiwanese superstar singer-actor Show Luo for Coffee Maurina, a pairing that whacked me out of left field merely for the surprise factor and not that there is anything odd about it. Show is a fantastic entertainer with tons of star appeal, and his onstage persona is totally along the same veins as Suzy when she’s doing her idol side.

I would be more interested to see them do a fun silly duet onstage with lots of playacting and dancing than just a CF campaign. Suzy isn’t all that popular in Taiwan yet as much as other K-actresses who happen to have a K-drama that was super popular there in recent years, such as Ha Ji Won thanks to Empress Ki or Jeon Ji Hyun for You From Another Star. I’ll be curious to see how Arbitrarily Fond ends up getting received there, Taiwanese audiences don’t always like the same types of K-dramas as the other Asian countries.
