I wonder if there is too much good things going on with late summer sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds. It can’t be a good thing to ramp up expectation this high all thanks to a one-two-three punch of excellent casting. Park Bo Gum is inked to play the male lead, Yook Sung Jae is reportedly onboard as the second male lead, and now they will get to fight over the charms of Kim Yoo Jung who has just confirmed that she will be the cross-dressing leading lady.
Cross-dressing sageuk heroines from Park Min Young in Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Lee Yoo Bi in The Scholar Who Walks the Night are all baby-faced types who wouldn’t pass for a man unless one was blind as a bat, so Kim Yoo Jung would fit right into this casting mold. Her involvement comes after a slew of actress names were floated from Kim Ji Won to Seolhyun to Kim Go Eun, but in the end I’m peachy keen with Kim Yoo Jung’s casting. At 17 years old she can play a romantic leading lady and since its a sageuk the romance will be of the staring longingly at each other chaste variety I’m sure.
The drama is about a cross-dressing girl who offers relationship advice and ends up a eunuch in the King’s palace. The screenwriter adapting the original source manhwa wrote Who Are You: School 2015 and the PD is from Discovery of Love.

I love this actress, really, but I don't really like when young actress (-18) take a role more mature than her age because you know that love story will be very platonic :p I understand that they want to protect the youth of these actresses but they should adapt to the role and not the opposite.
They do adapt the role. Hong RaOn is supposed to be in her teens, younger than the prince who is 19 y.o at the start of the story.
I'm so happy KYJ got the role, she really suit it the original age of the lead girl in manhwa is about 17 year old too, I love KYJ in sageuk drama since the moon that embraces the sun
I thought it would be cool if they cast the same actor who played the chief eunuch from the moon-sun as the chief eunuch here too.. :)

Until now, there's no confirmation from CUBE regarding Sungjae's participation on this drama. But he recently changed his hair color from blonde to black and that usually means something hahaha and yeah, he looks great in costume too (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUAadVSvyO4) so I'm super excited.
Finally my Kim YooJung will lead a drama. I will definitely support this drama. Fighting Kim YooJung, I know this will success.
