I don’t think this will end up being some great debate as much as a fun time to share personal visual preferences. While Korean actors are well known for being intensely easy on the eyes, sometimes their styling onscreen and in real life leave much to be desired – whether it’s visible pink lipstick in character, hilariously awkward ensembles, or hairstyle snafus that obscure the pretty underneath. One big haircut schism is in the forehead vs. no forehead battle, with recent years skewing heavily towards no forehead as male actor hairstyles onscreen have tended towards that flop of hair comb-down bangs looks.
Sometimes it looks fine to me and other times I just want to grab a comb and gel and push it back up. In a side-by-side comparison below of many well known K-actors, which do you prefer – up or down? I think up looks better more often than not except a few actors like Lee Seung Gi or Jung Il Woo look way better down, and conversely Lee Jun Ki and Ji Sung should always wear it up. Or be as lucky in aura as Hyun Bin and Gong Yoo who rock both equally. So much pretty in this post, I probably compiled it all for a quick click option whenever I am craving my honeys.

I always like up with the forehead, with the exception for park hae jin. Probably because he has such a small face.
LMAO!@mskoala i see you keep it up.#wink #wink
What a great ,insightful article.
hahahah Surely I'll find you here. What a great, insightful comment. LOL
Damnnnnnnnn, what a bunch of gorgeous men! I always find hair up, forehead exposed as the best hair for men. They all look 10x better with hair up.
They should all quit bangs and hold their hairs up
So Ji Sub my man! I don't care whether it's up, down, across, flat, mopped, permed , curled or bald. I will have yo any day any way.....*goes back to being a melted puddle*
a guy can pull off any haircut if he has an oval face, nice small ears & nice forehead and offcourse thick hair :D, so my vote goes to jongsuk hehehe
Yummy! LOL...I haven't read the blog yet. What are you trying to say, Ms. Koala? I'll take time to have the feast of each scoop of eyescream. LOL
Oh miss Koala, you just bright up my day with all those pretty pictures.
Can't stop smiling and giggling just by looking at them. So much emotion in one page. kekeke
Forehead vs no forehead I think the difference is that with forehead most of all these actor gives an aura of maturity, basically they are hot, now without forehead it gives an aura of boy charms, still sexy but cute at the same time.
Agreed. As long as it's styled to suit the face type and personality / character they're intended to portray, it works fine. ☺
And BTW @koala, Ji Sung looks fine in both up and down. It's like having Cha Do Hyun and Shin Segi on alternate days. ❤❤❤
