It’s a great time to be K-actor Gong Yoo, as well as a great time to be his fan. The second half of 2016 is shaping up to his breakthrough year after he hit his first career daebak 9 years ago in 2007 with Coffee Prince. He doesn’t just have the number 1 movie in South Korea with zombies on a train thriller Train to Busan, it’s also breaking the early box office pace records set by all time South Korean box office winner The Admiral: Roaring Currents. Up next is the September release of period thriller movie The Age of Shadows (Miljung) with Song Kang Ho and Han Ji Min by director Kim Jee Won (The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, A Bittersweet Life, Tale of Two Sisters). And lastly he ends the year with a long awaited drama land return in tvN‘s fantasy drama Goblin written by hit making screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, who herself may have two major hits in one year on her hand after delivering on Descendants of the Sun earlier this year. I so can’t wait!

Mighty fine is apt.I love his expressions in those too.
Damn ¡!! I want to drink from that perfection.
Yummmmmmm
He is great. And looking at the pictures he hasn't changed a bit since Coffee prince.
Who is going to be the female lead in the drama? I know about the second male lead, but did I miss her? Would love to see him onscreen again with Yoon Eun Hye.
I heard the female lead role was offered to Kim Go Eun months ago, though I don't think she confirmed yet?
He is mesmerizing. And so talented.
Good memories of my first kdrama.
<3
Didn't French film critics say that his acting was worst?
He is a good drama actor, not so much films. I remember the NYT review of The Suspect had Park Hee-soon>Gong yoo.
Well, the French gave Kristen Stewart a Ceasar, so I don´t think they are all that qualified to judge acting, lol.
He is such a mesmerizing and beautiful man.
I'm so happy for him and can't wait for his new drama in november!! :D
Saw Train to Busan twice because of the story and Gong Yoo. Loved him in this movie! Still waiting for the project that will reunite him with Yoon Eun Hye; it's been 9 years but he's so busy... don't know if it's ever going to happen.
