I certainly hope KBS new what it was doing when it optioned upcoming flower boy sageuk Hwarang: The Beginning earlier this year when it went into pre-filmed development. After the runaway success of the network’s last sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, even more eyes will be on whether Hwarang can bring in the same viewership when it’s brand of pretty young things hit the screen on December 19th taking over the time slot from The Man Living in Our House on Mon-Tues.
Last week’s release of the group poster – a bromance stroll through the sun dappled forest – along with the character posters of leads Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, and Park Hyung Sik, have been nothing short of ROFL awkward. Cute, but way awkward. The production released more character posters of the supporting pretties with Minho of SHINee, Do Ji Han, Jo Yoon Woo, Kim Tae Hyung, and Seo Ye Ji, and my response remains so much cringey awkward I can’t even. At least the BTS video of the cast filming all these posters is less Shilla fairy and more chill camaraderie.

I'm sorry but they take the theme too seriously. The boys gives off this gayish vibe. Like the last guy in the top poster, holding flowers and hair blowing? Lol it is too much.
I would not mind the pretty boys but since they mentioned warriors, everything about the poster become laughable. They all looked so effeminate, how the hell to believe that they are a band of Silla's knights?
I don't even know what to think when i saw the poster its like all girly girls n the second lead female look like the boy in the bunch?the poster is very confusing n to be honest,ugly..well maybe its going to be one hell of a gud show..the posters doesn't guarantee anything..look at SH..though i love it to pieces but many ppl were disappointed bla5 hahahahahaha
