Lee Young Ae Elevates Classic Romantic Beauty for the February 2017 Edition of Elle Korea

I have a feeling the ratings success or failure of upcoming sageuk Saimdang: Light’s Diary won’t have any affect on the star power or mystical allure of veteran K-actress Lee Young Ae. She’s reached teflon level much like her career making classic Hallyu sageuk Dae Jang Geum has achieved untouchable levels of worldwide success during it’s airing era. I do wonder how the ratings of Saimdang will start off, and will it be interest in the drama or in her comeback after a thirteen year hiatus after getting married and having and raising twins.

The drama looks interesting but male lead Song Seung Heon continues to worry me as her onscreen equal, he’s gorgeous and I have a super soft spot for him but that doesn’t blind me to his emotive limitations. There’s still two weeks until Saimdang arrives after the conclusion of Legend of the Blue Sea, and even if the drama is a disappointment I hope Lee Young Ae drops tons of promos goodies like this exquisite photo spread for the February 2017 issue of Elle Korea.
