Stars Mostly Go Dark at the 2017 Elle Korea Awards

I don’t recall a drearier event than last weekend’s 2017 Elle Korea Awards to celebrate K-star fashions. The pitch black logo screen is one of the culprits and then things got worse when most of the stars wore black or grey and then some looked rather grumpy or dour. The shining light of color was Kim Ji Won with a different looking pink color high neck long sleeved dress that would be straight out of Great Expectations if it was dark and lace-trimmed but instead now looks like a shining beacon of light in the midst of so much dark. I like Gong Hyo Jin‘s dress but for the fact that she didn’t look pleased to be there, and Yoona went with a suit but it looked really odd with the double breast and paired with the giant ribbon tie. Both her and her Best Love former costar Cha Seung Won were so downer I couldn’t even squee to see them reunited together here. But then again I remember last week having such an unexpected sorrowful tragedy strike K-ent then all of this makes sense and I’m just glad to see these stars out and about.

GHJ! How long has it been since she attended a red carpet event! Her dress is my favorite.
She's one of the very few Korean actresses who actually has personal style. The others usually look like they're just their stylist's dressup doll but never her, what she wears looks like her personal taste.
Most Koreans ARE stylists dress up dolls! Not to mention most stylists are just plain BAD!
GHJ has always had personal style. She's super skinny with not much curves but she's a smart dresser and knows how to pick outfits. I've never seen her look bad in anything!
Maybe she should freelance as a stylist and give tips to other celebs!
I love her dress. It's edgy but not everyone can pull it off.
While I appreciate the choice of color I thought Kim Ji Won looked like a Korean imperial princess would dress these days with this high-neck dress and long sleeves. You can take that as a compliment. I'll call it old-fashioned. But again for the pink alone I give a thumb up. :)

GHJ is beautifull. not everyone could pull that dress.
And for the rest, seriously, for a style award red carpet, everyone else seem off. were their stylish have a meeting before to decided that everyone should wear black/dark outfit ??
