The temperature majorly dipped in Beijing and despite the real and also politically frigid temperatures roaring through C-ent it appeared nearly all the stars were out to attend the 17th annual China Film Huaobiao Awards. The ladies walked the red carpet in a flurry of beautiful and diverse gowns despite the near freezing temps, kudos to the commitment to their jobs of looking flawless on the red carpet. I can’t say any one particular dress stood out, I liked a color such as Tang Yan in red or cut in Tang Wei‘s strapless column but not one gown really stole my breath away. The men were all in black tuxes but I quite liked some of the embroidery and embellishments such as on Li Yi Feng and Wu Lei. It’s weird to see this huge awards show go on with so many attendees reportedly on the list of top stars being summoned by the tax authorities to pay additional or owed taxes. I guess the show must go on.

Sorry but Guan Xiaotong and Song Zuer acting leaves a bit to desire for. Kris Wu and that other idol does not belong to acting award ceremonies when their acting is bad. Yang Mi fangirling Nick Tse was cute though. I don't like Zhang Ziyi's new hair it makes her look like a old auntie. Show must go on, despite the summonings.
