Gah, I can’t believe jTBC sageuk drama My Country continues to impress with its promotional material. The latest is a drama poster straight from a Chinese style ink brush painting featuring the leads standing in an array but more meaningfully the “country” the two male leads are going to come to heads with drawn as an upside down visage with the ink bleeding below. It’s so effectively visual even with the black and white limitations of the image. Only thing I would change is to position all three leads Yang Se Jong, Woo Do Hwan, and Seolhyun at the same depth rather than different angles. I have a feeling I’ll root for whichever character sells me the most compelling motivations for his/her quest.

I think this will be turning point in seol hyun's career. She has actress visuals.. I hope her acting will be good ... She is already a top cf queen but her endorsements has dropped. If it becomes success, it will be good for her career and she is my girl crush.
Seolhyun has good personality and seems like a sweetheart but her acting just so awkward I prefer seeing her on variety show.
Her problem never been visual tho... but her tonality and pronunciation. It was totally off. If you understand korean you'll understand why she has more acting controversy than other idol actress. To be fair a lot of professional korean actress also have bad pronunciation e.g Choi Jiwoo, and she has been acting for years. So yeah it's definitely not an easy task for Seolhyun.
@HSB But all of 'bad' older actors had one thing that most of new idol actors utterly lack. That is charisma the most important requirement. All of Hallayu actors(except Song Seung Heon?) had kind of magnetism which would draw the viewers instantly. Their acting was often sub par but aura was always powerful. Unfortunately almost all of idol actors are onscreen blackholes.
seolhyun will do a good job, so far from the teasers there is nothing awkward. anyone who has seen her previous roles especially the movie with kim nam gil, would agree seolhyun does a good job at potraying her role. some people over exaggerate her flaws to sound intelligent

her tonality and pronunciation has improved miles. she recently narrated for celeb five's song and people have been praising her and calling it killing point of the song.
I see the new trailer, seolhyun is pretty good, no awkward acting at all.
