Costars from Descendants of the Sun Onew and Kim Min Seok Discharged From the Military at the Same Time

We get a two-fer this week, with two young male stars returning from military service after a two year absence. Idol-actor Onew and actor Kim Min Seok have finished their civic duty and is back to pick off where their career left off in 2018. Both got big breaks in 2016 as part of the sprawling cast of mega hit drama Descendants of the Sun. Both served without any drama with Onew using his vocal talents to perform in army musicals. With COVID-19, both used their final vacation days recently and rolled that into their discharge this week so they didn’t need to go back to base and their discharge will not have any fanfare. Congrats on finishing such a milestone in nearly every South Korean man’s life.
