The 2020 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards took place this week in Seoul with an actual ceremony though very understated as it’s a government sponsored function. It’s organized by the government’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the awards go to all entertainer groups. Of the actors and actresses here are the winners: Order of Cultural Merit went to veterans Byun Hee Bong and Go Doo Shim as well as screenwriter Song Ji Na, Presidential Commendation was given to Kim Hee Ae, Hyun Bin, Chun Ho Jin and screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, Prime Minister’s commendation selected Kang Ha Neul, Gong Hyo Jin, and Yoon Yoo Sun, and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation picked Ryu Soo Young, Jung Sung Ha and Jo Jae Yoon. Nice to see everyone out and about and proud to receive their awards.

Any awards for Soon Ye Jin?
Son Ye Jin already won at the Seoul International Awards as Outstanding Actress while Hyun Bin didnt. So I guess this was Hyun Bin's turn to win an acting award. She also has a very high chance of winning a popularity award at APAN awards.
Kang Ha Neul is raking in all the acting awards. I dont think any actors in his age group or even seniors have achieved what he has achieved in such a short time. His future is looking real good. Congrats to Hyun Bin and Gong Hyo Jin as well.
For 90s actors, maybe, but you forgot that Kim Soo Hyun went from winning rookie awards one year and then baeksang best actor the following year. After that it was a number of daesangs, PM and brand awards, all in his mid 20s. Yoo Ah In also won a number of acting awards before reaching 30. Regardless, congrats to all the winners this year!
Thats why I said his age group. Kang Ha Neul is born in 1990. His peers are 90's liners like Park Bo Gum, Yoo Seung Ho, Yeo Jin Goo etc. Kim Soo Hyun, Yoo Ah In are in a different age group.
