Lee Bo Young and Kim Seo Hyung Sign Up as Dual Female Leads for 2021 tvN Melodrama Mine

I feel like these last few years has really given more than usual juicy roles and dramas to veteran female actresses. The Sky Castle quartet and now the Penthouse trio, not to mention Kim Hee Ae hitting a career high solo. I do wish these hits came in dramas that were outside the melodrama genre sometimes but alas it’s a good formula and production companies continue to mine that well. Up next in 2021 is melodrama Mine which will have Lee Bo Young and Kim Seo Hyung together as the female leads. It’s a high society wealth, power, and desire themed drama and is described as a suspense thriller. As long as Lee Bo Young does more than stoically suffer as she did in the boring When My Love Blooms then it won’t waste her ability. The drama is scheduled to air on tvN in the first half of 2021 and directing is the PD of Fight My Way and Love Alarm with the screenwriter of Melting Me Softly, The Miracle We Met, Women of Dignity, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.
