I don’t know if its the webtoon for creating such a believable and workable romance journey (I read only the first twenty chapters) or the drama for hitting a home run on the casting and directing, but everything about Yumi’s Cells is working for me and keeps getting better. I thought I was Team Woong forever since his adorkable hotness was such a healing balm and exciting for Yumi, but as they date it’s clear there are communication and priority issues which feel so real. So the arrival of the second male lead Jinyoung playing Yumi’s new office coworker Yoo Babi (Bobby Yoo) actually works for me rather than make me annoyed that what was the OTP I was rooting for needs to change now. It helps that Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung also have a great chemistry and his arrival was total lulz in showing us that Yumi with a boyfriend sees all hot guys as two dimensional stick characters lololol. Babi does seem a tad shady in how he keeps running into Yumi but since I know he’s not the end game I can just enjoy whatever drama and sparks his arrival brings. In the meantime, K-netizens are all discussing which actor needs to be cast as the third boyfriend and future husband Soonrok, who arrivals towards the end of the webtoon. He’s super intense at work and goofy at home and is 3 years younger than Yumi. Top pics include Seo Kang Joon (YES!!!), Gong Myung (meh), Lee Do Hyun (perfect but he’s booked up), and Nam Joo Hyuk (strangely I think it would work!).

Huh? I know plenty of male colleagues who watch Kdramas.
Why can't we? We have stressful jobs. I can't see why I can't relax and enjoy a smooth flowing drama.
So far I didn't even like both the male actors and their characters in their previous dramas. And I really didn't like the actress in 2 of her previous drama too.
But I love Yumi's cells. Good entertainment is good entertainment. I actually like seeing the cells thought processes rather than the character doing all the talking out loud or internal monologues in other dramas.
Silliness is real life. Where I see people making reckless and silly decisions in their lives. And its repetitive. And I want to roll my eyes at them. And literally force myself to be discreet and patient. And withhold my actual opinion because it is unprofessional to say what I think. Since some of their decisions are potentially life threatening ones involving their children.
And the guys who watch Kdramas? They are perfectly nice guys. I would call them normal. None of us feel guilty about watching Kdramas.
My second lead syndrom of CITT could be cured! I like Gong Myung is a good actor and he's super cute.
Otherwise, Woo Do-Hwan, they were cute together in TKEM.
I DOn't find KGE have chemistry with Jin Young at all.... In terms of acting. I hope it will be better!. I don't think it will be Seo Kang Joon. He might be enlist soon in the future. Unless the production make a season 2 2-3 years later.
