There may be a lot of meta in the upcoming KBS drama Curtain Call but right now it feels mega old school. It doesn’t help that it brings early aughts melodrama made famous leads Ha Ji Won and Kwon Sang Woo together though he’s likely not getting the girl as the second male lead this time. Kang Ha Neul throws a fresher vibe since he didn’t get famous until a good decade after those two and it’s like a blending of generations here. The two leads will also be playing the elder characters from the North Korea days from what I see in the new stills which again makes this drama feel really retro back to the early aught style.

Is Kang Ha Neul aging fast? He looks old here, I didn't know he was in his early thirties. Glad to see Ha Ji Won coming back.
