Peeps who know the language of flowers will need to share what the trumpet vines mean as it’s being used for the backdrop of the new character posters for upcoming Netflix drama The Glory. It’s one week away from premiering next Friday on the streaming platform with a full 8-episode drop of the first season. The new character posters are very nicely done, every character is expressing palpable energy in the stills rather than looking like photoshopped dolls. I’m really rooting for this drama because both Song Hye Kyo and Kim Eun Sook are looking for a redemption, the former for her acting (lack thereof) and the latter for totally dropping the ball on her last drama script. I also love that both are willing to get out of their comfort zone in doing this project, and so far early reviews from critics who got a sneak preview are positive.

There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…

Excited for Lee Do Hyun! Even tho he's not the main character, I hope this drama takes his career to the next level!
I've also just seen the trailer, and wow, not gonna lie, that's a very well-done trailer. Didn't care for this one before, and now I'm excited! Looks thrilling AF
Love how the vines wrap around the perpetrators' necks as if to suffocate them. And the flowers are a tainted yellow hue as compared to the protagonists' silver white hued ones. These are excellent character posters!
SHK’s character has vines starting to grow on her too in her poster. If this has a similar ending to Penthouse 3, I swear…
The Chinese trumpet vine flower represents "woman", "glory", "honor", "making oneself known", and also "longing" in the context of the flower's mythology (it's said a court lady turned into the flower following her death; she fell sick in her longing for the king who never visited her after he started favoring her).
Happy to see Lee Do Hyun in this, but even happier to see Park Sung Hoon's return. After the cancellation of JE, he's only been in a KBS Drama Special. Hopefully the drama is a success and leads to him appearing in dramas more often.
