So this drama is actually premiering next week on April 12th in the Wed-Thurs time slot on tvN taking over for The Holy Idol and holy moly it came out of nowhere for me. The drama is Stealer: The Treasure Keeper which feels like a amalgam of all those amazing thief steals treasures for the greater good type stories like J-manga Cats Eye or the Hollywood take in National Teasure. Joo Won feels like the perfect male lead, that combination of physicality for the action scenes but also impeccable comedic timing, he is one of those well-rounded male leads of his generation and it’ll be fun watching him act bumbling during the day and then turn into a master thief at night. Ji Chang Wook did it so well in Healer so it’s Joo Won’s turn to have fun with such a fun type character.
