tvN Confirms Second Half 2023 Release of The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch and Netizens as Split with the Return of Jo Byung Gyu After His Bullying Scandal

The second season of The Uncanny Counter is coming with the really wordy title The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch. It was the highest rated series on smaller cable network OCN and for the second season will move to the biggest cable network tvN which has confirmed broadcast for the second half of 2023. The news was met with split reactions due to male lead Jo Byung Gyu, who got his big break with this drama and then was hit with school bullying allegations. The first accuser recanted and apologized but I recall and netizens do as well that there were additional accusations that seemed to not get closure. His agency has claimed a full vindication for him and this drama moving forward will indicate the industry does as well. The original cast is back so that’s great with lots of talented additional supporting leads.

  • The accuser recanted and apologised. Therefore no issue and no bullying. Life goes on. He isn't cancelled.

    • He only apologized because he was caught. If he had been genuinely remorseful he would have apologized a long time ago, and thus, his scandal would not exist. Life goes on for the aggressors, for the victims, it's hard (to the point of suicide).

  • this is why you have to have strong backers 🤣
big agency so you do well and fine even if you are a bully

    • Or a rapist. Look at Lee Jin Wook, even when the judge pointed out that he confessed that the woman did not give him sexual consent, she was sued for defamation.

  • It's sad when there are accusations against a celebrity, people always are very keen to cancel the actor but when the truth is out, nobody cares anymore or they prefer to think they were right rather than admit they're wrong.

    • It takes a long time to build a career or a good reputation, but in a few minutes, a mere rumor, mistake or false accusation can destroy it all . And it's true not only for celebrities but also for common people . Its more entertaining to badmouth than praising !!!

      • Knetz can always boycott him . I didn't know that he got multiple accusations .I don't live in asia so i don't know all . But what i said about rumors or false accusations still true in many cases . Once it's sparkles , a career or a reputation will be forever tainted .

    • kim seon ho scandal is the perfect example of what you're talking about. there were receipts of his ex being the bad one but his name became tainted already. people will never admit they hopped on the hate bandwagon first before waiting for evidence lol. sad AF

  • Big agency and lots of money backing him and he can do whatever he likes because stuff like this goes away.

  • A lot of us would be in trouble if being a brat or fighting with another kid back in our school days could affect our lives today.
