The second season of The Uncanny Counter is coming with the really wordy title The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch. It was the highest rated series on smaller cable network OCN and for the second season will move to the biggest cable network tvN which has confirmed broadcast for the second half of 2023. The news was met with split reactions due to male lead Jo Byung Gyu, who got his big break with this drama and then was hit with school bullying allegations. The first accuser recanted and apologized but I recall and netizens do as well that there were additional accusations that seemed to not get closure. His agency has claimed a full vindication for him and this drama moving forward will indicate the industry does as well. The original cast is back so that’s great with lots of talented additional supporting leads.

He only apologized because he was caught. If he had been genuinely remorseful he would have apologized a long time ago, and thus, his scandal would not exist. Life goes on for the aggressors, for the victims, it’s hard (to the point of suicide).

It’s sad when there are accusations against a celebrity, people always are very keen to cancel the actor but when the truth is out, nobody cares anymore or they prefer to think they were right rather than admit they’re wrong.
