It’s been a mixed bag for me with it comes to top K-actress Song Hye Kyo and her long running brand association with Italian couture house Fendi. Gorgeous and natural! Truly the most beautiful of the big 3
She is so beautiful and is also aging beautifully but her agency is fooling no one with those heavily edited photos of her face. Her publicist also has to stop sending DMs to fans who post her unedited pics. I really wish Korean celebrities and the media are more accepting of the realities of ageing. Excessive whitewashing and filters set some unrealistic expectations. Even Kim Jiwon who is only 32 was so heavily edited in the recent pics that her agency released.
It’s something normalized now. I saw a YouTubers guide to K-pop beauty secrets and procedures and all that you see is edited via photos and camera and some have disclosure agreements that demand filtering even for reporters because their goal is to maintain that flawless image. I don’t know if it will ever go away though. You get what you get. It’s not just for older but younger as well. Add the heavy make up and rediculous procedures and beauty tricks and it is not what it seems.
