When Rich Man, Poor Woman aired, I was totally cringing when I saw Oguri Shun‘s hairstyle. Mind you, this man hasn’t had a decent hairstyle in any of his previous dramas, even Tokyo Dogs because the crew cut doesn’t do him justice, so RMPW was actually continuing a long tradition of uglifying Shun. I have this theory that it might cause a cosmic imbalance, something like a worm hole opening up, if Shun were to do ever a drama where he had an awesome haircut. I reckon that much beautiful man on our screens is just not allowed in the dramaverse. So with the end of RMPW, let’s all bid adieu to the weird broccoli-esque mop of hair on Shun’s head. It wasn’t the worst he’s ever sported, and sometimes he managed to tame it into something halfway decent. But overall it belonged on the head of a handsome possum from an animated Disney movie and not on Shun. For the September issue of the latest magazines from China and Japan, we get to enjoy Shun and his co-star Ishihara Satomi still sporting the look of their RMPW characters. I would say Satomi is actually channeling post-makeover Makoto, but that was my favorite incarnation anyways so this is a total eye candy treat. Enjoy! If the beauty blinds you, don’t blame me.

I agree with you. Not the best, not the worst. The worst would be his Rui hair from HYD. At least his Hyuga hair didn't totally obscure the pretty. haha

I agree with Shun being hot no matter what. But I loved his hair in Densha Otoko and thought he really entered sex-god territory there.
YESHHH!! Moarrr Oguri and Ishihara! I absolutely love and adore these two. I remember when I first saw Oguri in RMPW ep1 I was absolutely befuddled that everyone thought THIS guy to be good-looking...yeah, and now am a total fangirl! hahaa I thought his hair and look in Crows Zero was pretty darn awesome though. It is now my fervent wish that he star in an Eriko Kitagawa drama...cuz that'll be pretty epic.
